2011 Denali Hd with higher milage

Just wanted some input from the fellas.
Short store a fed ex truck backed into dad about a month ago and totaled his Silverado.

They only gave him 9k for his truck he is saving to add too it but he wanted another Chevy or a tundra but then Toyotas are expensive unless they got 250,000 miles on them.
So my Cheif just got a new ford dually so I’m trying to talk him into selling his truck to dad. I know it’s all highway miles from chasing the dredge it’s got right over 200,000 on the dash but the body and interior are immaculate.
And being a Cheif engineer I know he keeps up on his maintance. He said she don’t leak or burn no oil and only thing that needs to be fixed is the windshield and the back bumper and he already has the bumper for it.

I’m my thoughts I figured it being a 2500HD that for one it don’t have the DOD problems
Two it’s got the 4l80
Three it’s got the 14 bolt rearend
Even with 200,000 miles ain’t this setup about bulletproof? Especially with my dads driving as he rarely breaks 45mph and often tows his boat for work

Don’t have a pic of Cheif’s truck but it looks about like this but leveled out with 33s and tow mirrors

I’m inclined to think it’s a 6l90 too. The 2500 and 3500 gasser vans came with the 90.

I mean 200k miles highway is wayyy better than 200k city miles. I guess the determining factor is price.

I think it is too, I think there was 1 year carryover of the 4L80 but definitely not by 2013.

I also believe a 200k miles of known ownership is MUCH better than any other type of purchase. I would be good with this if the price is right.
