2008 Tahoe LMG Engine Swap

Update ... have the L92 on the stand almost ready to go in, just waiting on a few more little detailed parts ...
L92 has VVT, but my Tahoe does not, ECM op-sys ABSOLUTELY does NOT support it ... can I just leave this VVT in here?
I actually ordered a new VVT sensor so I’ll put that one in just so it looks clean, but will it affect anything if I just leave it without deleting it?

Were I you I'd block or delete it, don't know how a vestigial VVT mechanism might behave over time ... ?
(You can install the cam a few degrees advanced or retarded - heh heh heh - if you want to move the power curve to the left or the right ...)

All right everybody all set. The swap is complete, moving forward now. Does anybody know somebody in the CT area that can tune this? It does start up and run, but it’s just throwing the codes for the AMF/DOD stuff that was deleted and running rough because of liter difference. Just need them to tune that out and work their magic. The swap went pretty well only took me a a few days with waiting for some parts I wanted to replace. Once I get it running good I’ll take some finish pictures of everything pretty happy with how it turned out.

Did you end up deleting the VVT or did you leave it in there? If you left it, what did you do make sure it would run stable?

After doing some research and figuring out the cams are the same for vvt and non vvt engines and not having afm/dod I just left it in there being my stock truck didn’t have vvt in the tune, I just sealed it up pretty good.
