I have a 2005 tahoe ls 4x4 that I am looking to do a suspension lift on. I want to do 3" keys up front, 2" spacers in the rear, and bilstein 5100's all around. My question is about the rear springs. The bilstein rear shocks say they are for a 3" suspension lift but it seems that every one running this setup is using the same 2" spacers that I have chosen for the back. Do the bilstein 5100's work with a 2" spacer and oe ls springs or do the springs need to swapped with something else? Z71 springs? Thank you in advance for any help.

No the bilstein will be fine running in 2" vs 3", but most people on here order a rear dodge ram 0-1" lift shock for the rears.

So I guess I'm still better off replacing the oe springs with z71 springs and going with a smaller spacer?

Either way doesn't make much difference. The z71 handle towing better, so if you go that route then I would do a 1.5" spacer with it. Or stock springs with 2"

Ok. Thanks for the advice...I think I might just keep the oe springs for now and go with a 2" spacer. I don't plan on towing and the back of my tahoe isn't sagging or anything so I don't feel that my springs are worn out.

Also I found that the bilstein 5100 rear shocks listed for a tahoe 3" lift are the same part number as a Dodge with a 1" lift. 24-185783

I'm going to order the parts this week. I will post before and after pictures on here. Thanks for the info.
