I like where you have the A/F gauge. Stealthy. Also got around to tidying some interior wiring, since I extended the chime harness it's been flopping around, as well as the HPT Pro wiring, and the wideband wiring. Not the cleanest under dash setup but it's not tangled around the shifter anymore lol.
Don't look at all my coffee stains on the carpet! I swear I don't have a problem!

Thanks, I don't like pillar pods for a daily driver, obstructs to much view. Plus I don't smoke so that just makes sense.
I wish the interior of this truck wasn't so well loved lol.
Tan is hard to keep clean. Have you thought about a full length console? That would hide all the coffee mishaps![]()
I'm not a huge fan of the full console, buddies Denali has that and making the shifter clear and look good is kinda a pain. Plus I'd have to get the shorter Hurst stick which makes shifting shorter to keep it from hitting the console but also makes it much firmer which I find annoying. I would love some sort of quadruple cup holder tho! I've looked at vatozone just haven't found anything decent.

Man, do I have a treat for you!

That's not bad! I'm not picky about the interior it's 100% function over form, does tan paint stick to styrofoam?![]()
I was thinking more along the lines of tan leather wrap.

Whoa that would look terrible
Just scored a set of LS6 243s with my favorite Pac1219s, 7.4 push rods, and brand new valve guide seals. Torn between having them shipped to TSP for CNC work or swap on dual springs and have them decked/milled for 10.5cr.
Total joke on the leather
Wilkes did a pretty good job on the heads I bought from them, especially for the money. Hate their logo though.
Never heard of them before but $750 is not bad at all and their work looks good. I've never swapped valve springs before but since my current 862s have duals I'd likely swap them over and sell the Pacs or put them on the 862s and sell them. The LS6 valves are already stainless so I don't need valves either which saves some more moolah. If I have the head seller send them straight to the porting I can save shipping and possibly get a set of Ported 243s for just $1250. Then sell the Pacs, pushrods, and 862s to recoup a lil bit.
Can't find pricing on Frankensteins porting, anybody else have suggestions on porting services?
Also probably won't swap these heads on anytime soon, just kinda want to have a backup set on standby that can go on any ls motor. The valve drop emergency head repair cost me almost as much as these heads ported will. Also these ported 243s would enjoy a ******** from a Hiroshima hair drier.
Whoa this is suddenly cheap! https://store.katechengines.com/cnc-port-ls2ls6truck-243-799-317-035-cylinder-heads-pair-p589.aspx
Cool that doing a little disassembly and cleaning yourself can save you $400
That dude used to work for TEA (I think) and then Patriot Performance. When they (Patriot) went bankrupt, he bought the machines and opened his own shop.
I just bought a full set of heads to save time and kept my 243s. He sent 799 which is no big deal but I have a soft spot for the 243 castings. I'll have them done up for my stock camaro motor, when the time comes.
Thats cheap for a straight port. The wilkes includes a valve job I think, so thats another $379 from Katech. Katech does excellent work

Heck yeah, Wilkes has super quick CS! Sent him a message about sending him naked heads for just a port, VJ, and Mill no disassembly or reassembly. Said $675 which nearly pays for shipping, budget ported heads are actually gonna happen lol.
Awesome! I'm excited for the "seat of the pants" feel when I get mine back together. Hopefully its noticeable...
