Is that because people don't check their motor mount fluid? :jester:

Last week, when I put the new shocks on I grabbed everything and gave it the ole Wiggle-wiggle. Nothing seemed to move which doesn't rule out worn components but since they are all new I find it less likely.
Hmm I thought the ole wiggle-wiggle was a dance move perfected by strippers.

Maybe the LSD? Or something in the drivetrain, shafts etc. I have less knowledge then you but just shouting something what might bring ideas! :)

My first thought was the posi/G80 or possibly a broken axle which I pray its not because I swapped in a much bigger axle. Any idea is good and as I investigate I will update!

There's a reason I don't talk about my day job. :elephant:

Engine mounts are great, I can rev it in neutral or put it in first with the tires chocked and give it some good load on and off and it doesn't move a **** hair.
Got under the back again and gave everything a good wiggle-wiggle with the suspension completely unloaded and with it loaded. Found one major issue that I overlooked the other night installing the shocks. The upper shock mount is significantly wider than the bushing and sleeve of the new shocks therefore it needed shims to keep the shock from shifting side to side. I'd say it had a full 1/2" of play which is obviously no good. Fixed it with some tapered spacers leftover from the coilovers and now they aren't going anywhere.

Nothing else in the rear suspension needs work its all brand new and looks great. I didn't get a good test drive in yet so I'll know if I fixed it in the morning. I wish the alignment could come sooner than the 27th but I want to go to a real performance shop not firestone or some other regular daily driver crap place. Gonna look into some exhaust work as well. I hate working around the dual muffler tips BS that hangs too low and I still want to add Vibrant ultra quiet resonators to knock the sound down a hair. I'm considering having the shop do a rear quarter panel exit with a bezel, the quarter panel already has a huge scratch right there and I think it would look cool.

Something like this.

I’ve thought about doing that on my Bagged Silvy. There’s no place to exit it since the rockers lay on the ground aired out. It dumps in front of the rear axle now which kinda sucks especially layed out. But kinda nervous about cutting a hole in the bedside.

Well your truck is beautiful already, the body on this thing has seen better days, looks good from 20 foot but that particular corner has a big scratch down to the primer. I'll see what the shop owner says, he's done some really nice pic cut exhausts/turbo piping on some imports. I'm not trying to dumb too much more into this thing but I don't like seeing the pipes anymore.

The bezeled fender exit would look so dang good on the machine! You should do it so I can see a good example of one. :D

Alright mate, hopefully those rear shocks where the problem, but it almost should be as you're saying, everything is new under your Hoe!

Keen to see how such an exhaust would look on your Hoe. Keep on building :D

No no no it's all good I'll let you take the lead :D. I've been goggling bezel kits and this place has some nice options surprisingly cheap IMO, I like the titanium washer kit with stainless hardware for $25. https://www.dirtskum.com/cart

Didn't get a good test this morning it was crazy foggy and everybody was driving slow. I forgot to spin the wheels and see if anything in the axle sounds funny because I felt like it was in the rear end. Guess I'll see how it feels later today and possibly more investigating to come!

Last night my bromigo brought his RX7 over to show off his recent ceramic coat and carbon fiber bits. This car is so clean I try to stay 15 feet away.

Damn what a nice RX7!! Really hope to drive one some day, so keen to know and feel how a rotary car rides, let alone the car itself how it drives!

Edit: btw, it will be somewhere in your thread, but how much did you lower your Tahoe?

The rotary is interesting its the exact opposite of a V8 absolutely no balls until it spools and then runs up to 9k rpm screaming, everytime I'm in it I keep thinking "OMG shift this thing before it blows up" the suspension he has on it is top notch, heck the whole car is pretty top notch. But it only made 320hp and I think his Denali might actually be faster lol.

Best estimate on my Tahoe drop is a total of 2-3" in the front and 3" in the rear. Not very low at all but I like ride quality and I push the limits of where a 2wd truck should probably go.

Haha yes exactly. Well before my Tahoe I had a few higher revving cars like a 98 BMW 323i 6 in line, which is probably the second smoothest engines after rotaries. Also had a 95 Honda Del Sol Vtec so that was around 8k rpm. And now just got my motorcycle license, I imagine the rotary engine being like a smooth 4 cilinder motorcycle or something :D And the sound is so awesome in higher RPM. Actually just reminds me of yesterday when I saw my yt video revving my 2.5 liter 6 in line BMW 323i Coupe.

Ok cool. Well is sits very nice. I’m looking for a 1/2 drop with my 18 inch rims coming on. Really like the usability of the height of the Tahoe and the advantages is gives in the Netherlands haha.

I've always wanted a straight 6 BMW for thrashing around, same with a honda I just dislike FWD, and S2000s/NSXs are way too expensive to abuse. Motorcycles definitely win the highest rpm award but I can't get one I'll end up dead or worse. :greenchainsaw:

I personally don't want a rotary because they require ridiculous life support systems or they fail. Plus everything that comes with one is too small for me, my hair touches the roof of that RX7.

I'm not super familiar with the American Police Tahoe suspension but I think it's close to a 1/2 drop, they just look lower because they run really small tires. They do ride pretty good though especially the new 2020s.

I like everything about my current height except that I'm too tall for the rear liftgate and occasionally forget until I smack my head into it.

Cool I see you’re also considering the Torqstorm sc. It looks very good on yt and really like the design and simplicity! Maybe you could buy one in the near future so you can show it of, helping me staying at home reading it while not spending money to save for the SC :D:D

I was really close to buying one about a year ago and spoke to their excellent customer service. I was actually looking at a preowned kit and they said they would still honor the lifetime warranty which I thought was fantastic! The only reason I'm kinda steering away from it now is I'd actually like to quiet this truck down a lot, ditch the headers for cast manifolds, and a medium-sized turbo setup with towing in mind should make it really quiet again but also have more than enough power. But It will likely be another year or 2 before I actually boost it, need to finish my other truck and some other life projects. Plus I don't think this motor would be a good candidate the bottom end is sort of a mystery from the previous owner.

But my buddy with the RX7 has been wanting a twerkstorm since he got his Denali and he has more money than me so that's a possibility.
