Ok I definitely want to look into desensitizing the misfire readings because it seems to be BS IMO. I think before the weird startup driveability problems maybe have been a bad plug wire because that’s totally gone *knocks on wood*. The 4k Misfires has got to be BS since it only happens at idle and the idle feels rock solid.

How do I mess with these tables? Add or subtract? Where? And how much?
Have you done a CKP relearn? Supposedly that helps the ECM to detect misfires accurately.

Interesting. Well, I gave it all sorts of RPM and throttle inputs. I hope it's not tuned out that much. Do you know where I'd find this info?
When I was doing all my reading about tuning for the transmission and a stall. I can't remember exactly what I did though. I may have only had it report misfires in gear or above so much RPM. IIRC I just googled "tuning for stall" or something like that.

Like everything, there's a million different ways people do things in tuning. I could have read some BS thats wrong. So far, mine doesn't have CEL and it seems to drive/lock up fine....

EDIT: Open YOUR tune and look at your misfire tables under engine diagnostics>misfires>and look at the tables....

Compare those to the stock avalanche tune I sent you WAY back when. You'll see what I'm talking about.

I didn't want to post your tune....

I think you can do that with HPT...

Coincidentally, I was just discussing this a few minutes ago with a buddy that swapped a G8 GT drivetrain (L76/6L80) into an ex-Frito Lay delivery truck (food/kitchen truck for his business). He has EFI Live and says he can do a CASE relearn with it.

You can supposedly do the same in hpt in the scanner functions. Hopefully big d will get his sorted out without having to do it

Dropped it to 6,500 and did a semi-slow neutral rev up till I felt the limiter kick on, then I let the RPM naturally fall and cycled the ignition which it told me to. I never got any indication that it completed the process or whatever but I guess I will log later and see if anything changed.

**Edit** Did a little more research and it clearly didn't work, it's supposed to set a 4k fuel cut when it's in test mode. Gonna try a couple more things such as holding the brake while doing it and not clicking the "OK" box. Seems people have all sorts of funky issues trying this.

Seems to me there was something about the parking brake. I have done a case relearn a few time with my tech2 and did fine.

I think its parking and foot brake needs to be pressed, I'm hoping it lets me do a relearn since HPT always thinks the truck is in 3rd gear and not park which was another requirement I saw.
