Didn’t @iamdub have a supply of blue tint?

I still have some. Getting down to the part that's a little more wrinkled up, but should be perfectly fine for small stuff such as the cluster screens.

So is that stuff he gave you basically like a window tint type film?

That's exactly what it is. Leftover from the early '00s when colored tint was still a thing with the rice burners.

You still have stuff from 20 years ago?

And longer. I moved so many times growing up that many things were never unpacked and were just extra Rubbermaid bins moved around with me. I found that tint in a bin with other car stuff from my early Civic and S10 days.

if it makes you feel any better I have parts tucked away in the shop I just found the other day that were from my accord I had when I was 15. Parts from my old Toyota’s my old civics etc. really need to go through and throw all that shit away lol. I ordered some blue window tint online so hopefully it works similar. Cause it would be nice to get everything blue on my indicators. The odometer really throws it off now

I don't feel bad about it at all. If it was stuff in my way and causing problems yet I still hung on to it, then there's something wrong with me. It's just extra stuff chillin in a corner and forgotten about that ended up being beneficial to some forum members. I'm at least disposing of the tint- one odometer screen at a time!

I recommend you do at least two layers of the tint and plug in the cluster to see how you like it before putting it all back together.

I only did 1 layer myself. Came out pretty good--but 2 would've been better.

Tackled my indicator lights on the esky cluster last night. The turn signals, cruise, and high beam indicators are all twist lock with small bulbs though. Attempted to make my own with the 3mm leds but they weren’t wanting to connect correctly so first hit of bass and probably would quit working. That’s alright though I ordered new ones with blue led bulbs which might be here this week. For now got the rest swapped out and just left the factory in for those. For some reason my 4wd indicator won’t light up though. Have to look into that later not super worried since I rarely have it in 4wd anyways.

Yeah I’ll do that depending on how dark that tint ends up being.

do it! It’s not super hard to do if you can solder. Just be careful of the board tracers while pulling bulbs.

Oh come on, you don't? Hell, I've go
T-shirts (aka underwear) older than that!
Ummm. No. Unless I use it. If I don’t use something for 5 years it goes, one way or another. Usually goes out on the curb with a “free” sign on it. I have helped people go through their shit when moving and it’s ridiculous. Even though they haven’t even seen it for 10-20 years they still have a hard time letting it go. :insane:

It's an "out of sight, out of mind" thing for me.
It’s the same for me. Until I look in my garage and think to myself, “what is all this shit doing in here and why do I have it” haha.

Ordered a dynomax ultra flo welded muffler. Supposed to be here Sunday or Monday. Have a flowmaster 40 on now but I didn’t put it in, it’s not the best weld job plus it’s old so I’m gonna see if I like the dynomax better. All the videos I watched on them I liked the way it sounded. No cackle or anything. Plan to order the 3” intermediate and tail pipe to replace my stock stuff anyways. So if I like it then I’ll order the rest of the exhaust. Exhaust stuff will be a month out possibly more anyways for the piping.

Dynomax came in today. Along with a new push button switch and the blue tint for my odometer. Haven’t had a chance to pull out the cluster to put the tint on yet.

cut out the flowmaster 40 and clamped in the dynomax. Wanted to make sure I liked it and want to be able to easily take it off when I order new piping. When p/o put on the flowmaster they welded on a like foot long section of 3” on the output and gap welded the 3” to the factory 2.75” tail pipe. So I’m definitely going to be replacing it here soon.

it’s more throaty than the flowmaster and less cackly in the high rpm range. I’d say it’s louder driving, less drone, but it’s quieter idling it seems. So far I’m enjoying it.
