Mmm boost and 155+ dB stereo are two combos I really want one day lol

tried the blue tint that I ordered. On the 99-02 you can’t pull up the face easily like the 03-06 so my inky option was to put the blue tint on the face. Well two layers later it didn’t do a lot and looked like poo. The 99-02 needles aren’t easy to reset like the 03-06 so I’m gonna try to think of another way to do it.
Damn that’s bad news since I have some of @iamdub ‘s blue tint I was going to use fir my 02.

If you pull the needles and take the face off it will be easy. The tint I have seemed to make it blue but laying it on the face made it super visible and it wasn’t very clear.

I think 3 layers does the trick :p

smart ass :bleh:

I feel like a complete and total idiot right now. I have had my cluster apart several times. And for some stupid ass reason I was thinking all day yesterday that the screen didn’t come with the circuit board when you pull it off the cluster housing. Well again me being a idiot, not like I have had my cluster apart multiple times or anything :emotions34::emotions34::emotions122: The screen comes off with the board and will literally takes a few minutes to put the film on it. lol. So I’ll tackle it tomorrow now.

Do you have to pull the needles?

Maybe put 1 piece of tint on the odo display itself, then on the window of the faceplate. So then you'll have your 2 pieces on.

Is that with the tint applied to the backside of the overlay? Dry with no moisture remaining? I hate to ask, but you did peel the clear layer from the tint to expose the "adhering" side, right?

those pictures are with the tint on the front of the display face. And no worries yeah I made sure to peel both clear layers off the tint before I put it on. Tonight I’m gonna do like @Tonyrodz was saying. Put one layer on the odometer and one on the backside of the face and see how it comes out. The tint I got was like 8 bucks on amazon so I’m sure it’s not the most amazing quality either lol. But after a quick search it’s what I found and figured it was worth a shot.

Okay 2 layers are on. I noticed after two layers anymore and the color wasn’t really changing it was just making it darker. Much better though now it’s not that dull tealish looking color it’s actually blue.
