10 inch sub in stock 8 inch rear tahoe box

Hey,

I was thinking of upgrading the 8 in sub in the 2001 tahoe rear stock sub box. I would like to get a shallow 10 inch in there if its possible. Has anyone done that before or is it not possible and just go with a 8 in. I do not want to build a box in order to fit a 10 in sub prefer to keep stock box

If I recall the box isn't even 10" tall... So not gonna happen. Also it doesn't have enough airspace for a 10

Edit this is for the burban/xl box. The tahoe is different and I can't help ya there.

Tahoe box is smaller than the burb box. There are plenty of 8's that fit nicely.
