I want to replace the entire carpet in my Tahoe. I cant find anything on eBay or Amazon. Other then https://www.stockinteriors.com/ is there any where else to get the OEM carpet from?
I’ve taken a look too, nothing is of similar quality or look of the oe stuff. I’d go with a set from a later model 13-14 of similar chassis from a wrecker. Reason one is that it’s molded directly to the interior floor of the truck and two is that there’s no cutting and guaranteed perfect fit. It also means you can hose it off, shampoo it and hang it out to dry so it smells nice n fresh. Just don’t let it sour or sit too long in an area with no air circulation. That mildew smell is impossible to get out. Don’t forget to install some dyna mat or similar while the carpet is out. You won’t believe the difference it makes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Dealer? I don’t know what color your interior is but the black carpet for my Escalade is still available. I’m thinking about doing it next year if it isn’t discontinued by then. Don’t even waste time looking for carpet in a salvage yard. Most of them do not give two hoots about interior pieces. Even if you do find one of the few yards that sells interior parts, by the time they even make it to the salvage yard the interiors are filthy from all the people in and out of them, windows that are down/broken, etc.
Look around... quick search on ebay got this... there are a few companies that make factory like sets... this just an ebay example of a cheap set
Just keep in mind the OEM carpet will come with the jute attached, all holes pre cut, and cut to the proper size. It will literally lay in with no fitting needed. That is worth the extra money to me. It will save you hours.
I've done this three ways: Cleaned-up original, OEM replacement, and aftermarket. Aftermarket was an absolute joke and I ended up eating the $ and throwing it in the garbage. OEM replacement was a crap shoot finding parts and it was pricey $$$. I had a 2009 Suburban and I couldn't get the light titanium clean enough. I put in my order with the dealer (I have an account) and waited. After a month or so they located one section, and after awhile the other. It did make the Suburban look, smell and feel new inside. I also had a 2008 Tahoe with the ebony carpet that was rode hard. I pulled the interior, scrubbed then power washed the carpet (it's hard-plastic/rubber backed) then I wet-vac'd and dried in the sun. It looked NEW. Not a single stain, no wear to speak of. NEW. I am getting ready to do that again on a 2007 ebony Tahoe.
dude just clean the carpet I cleaned my enitre SUV it only took like an hour much cheaper $$$$ wise I went down to the dollar store and used a towel and dollar store carpet cleaner.. it only cost me $3.30, 0.50 cents worth of gas and 1 hour of my time.. it came out nice and clean it's called "PowerHouse Carpet cleaner" it says you can vacume it away but I find actually scrubbing it does a better job amazon has it but they want 12$ a bottle
I wished I could just clean the carpet but its beige with stains that even the detail shop couldnt get out. I was even thinking of dying it but they say its not worth it. Im still looking.
