hey guys, havent been on here for a while, working alot on my c10 but i did get new wheels for the tahoe, they're tbss machined finish, with 295 35 24 tires and sitting at a 4/6 drop
what you guys think?
pretty much half the price of the 6.0 and alot easier to find as you mentioned. i have seen them around for about 500 as i am a college student right now this project will also be on a budget but done the right way to the best of my ability. first thing on my list to do is get a complely...
as i do agree in a 6.0 being badass..a 4l80e would be a must...as far as engine on a truck a 5.3 with cam and bolt ons can also be badass especially with the nitrous express kit i have. but if i do find one for a good price id deffenetly do a 6.0
thanks guys. and overall plan for truck is going to be to completly get all the body work done and eventually paint it...also drop it and add some 18,20 combo wheels. I will also do an ls swap and 4l60e aswell if all goes well. Also restore and repolish all the chrome and make it a badass truck...
hey guys been wanting to get myself a project truck for a while now and came across this truck today..1700 with a 350 engine runs and tranny sometimes wont go into reverse. Cleanest body ive seen around with little to no dents, interior is all their and looks almost brand new with the original...
lol thanks man i aprecciate it..i understand the dissapoointment on shelling out almost a grand for what you got but once all the pieces are put together you will notice the difference for example those headers with some gears, tune, a cam nd stall will really wake it up and be very fun to drive
the tune will help wake it up alot!!...long tube headers actually help out alot more in the top end instead of the low end...my tahoe was the same way and i hated it...tune and headers deffenetly helped getting it up to speed and much funner to drive...im sure youll notice it! so dont feel bad...
first clay bar your truck to remove those little bits and bumps stuck to your paint...if you leave those there what you technically do when you wax, buff or anything is spreading those across the paint. thus, creating more swirl marks, after the clay bar, use some rubing compound. best results...
will get some pics for you tomarrow! my best pass without nitrous was a 16.8
installed colder plugs and did only a 75 and my best run was a 15.3 @ 92 and this is in 5800 ft elevation...broke 1.5 seconds with a 75 shot...can honestly say i am very impressed

well my friends tahoe with a trailblazer stall and intake manifold with tune and a 150 shot ran a 15.4 at 5800ft elevation a stock tahoe over here runs mid 19s

bought this nitrous express kit for my tahoe...going to be doing a 75 shot at a truck event at the local track next week...after the event i will get my retune done and increase the nitrous to a 100 then a 150 shot..this kit is very high quality soo looking forward to some real fun times with it...
id get a lightly used lq4 or lq9 for usually around 1100. for the price differene of the engines you can get the lq4 stripped down and worked on to be as good as new and still have the advantage of a 6.0 over a 5.3 to start with...from their with a cam headers tune and stall should be enough to...
well i experimented with it and added an extra coat every 3 days after i did the first for a total of 4..i had not cleaned my tires in a while so they where dulling out...today i used a armorall wheel and tire cleaner and brought back the color to white so id say as long as you add enough coats...
