I've used @BlackBearPerf for years with their 'remote tune', and I've had great success with them. Did you call them or email them?Hello Everyone,
Anyone have a good reference for a tune, on HP Tuners? I tried BBP but haven't received an answer yet.
They don't use HPT. He asked for someone that uses HPT.I've used @BlackBearPerf for years with their 'remote tune', and I've had great success with them. Did you call them or email them?
Fully understood. I was simply stating my support for remote tunes. An opinion. They don't use HPT. He asked for someone that uses HPT.
I did Black Bear tune with AFM delete. I also have the hand held tuner with the stock, tune, and the tune with AFM delete files. Runs great and getting better gas mileage in full time V8. Better city mileage and 24 mpg highway.Hello Everyone,

Thank you, I completely agree, problem I'm running to is there aren't really that mean people near me.What are you trying to accomplish via tuning?
If you are modding your engine or etc, I would suggest that you find a tuner local to you and not a 'remote tuner'. Just my $0.02
I have but haven't received anything back yet.I've used @BlackBearPerf for years with their 'remote tune', and I've had great success with them. Did you call them or email them?
Thank you for that, I'll look him up.I'm going to recommend someone named Greg Huggins, do a quick Google search on his name and he's got a very good reputation. Pricey (imo) but seems like he's worth it. Whoever you go to you don't want just one and done adjustment. If you've got major modifications like an aftermarket can or other power adder to get everything dialed in it takes several times of logging and tuning. Up to 50 revisions, each revision includes a drive to gather the data (usually different throttle/speeds/loads/etc) and a calibration flash after that.
Most in person shops are gonna throw it on a Dyno, spend about 30min adjusting the maf curve and send you on your way.
I've replaced the L83 engine in my 2015 and have done most of the tuning myself. It's very involved, whatever you choose you want someone that's going to spend more than just an hour on it like most Dyno "tuning" shops. Just read on the hptuners forums about these gen V engines and how different they are from the previous gens.
Same for me. I have the exact same setup and AFE intake. It is stellar for the money.I did Black Bear tune with AFM delete. I also have the hand held tuner with the stock, tune, and the tune with AFM delete files. Runs great and getting better gas mileage in full time V8. Better city mileage and 24 mpg highway.
