oil change...6 quarts of Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W-30 Dexos 1 Generation 3 (I know not needed) and a Champ PH44XL synthetic oil filter...

the Champ filter appears to me like the old A/C Delco UltraGuard Gold filters with the stronger "can", synthetic media and silicon drain back valve...the maker Champion Labs has been an OEM supplier of A/C Delco filters in the past (and I believe still makes them today)

I haven't settled on an oil change interval as yet with this newer to me (June 2023) Denali but the last oil fill was 6.5 months ago and 3600+ miles...the OLM showed 30% still...

I'm thinking the next oil change will be 4-5K miles or when the OLM shows 10% or so but invite any thoughts or experience you care to share...thanks

Been a minute, fellers. Bought an engine and transmission early last year to freshen up the Tahoe, and shortly after I lost third and fourth gear. So she’s been parked up while I fix up the replacement. Put a Truck Norris in the motor after getting it cleaned up at the machine shop and threw a bunch of other new parts in all the way down to the bearings. Just swapped a new filter in the replacement trans and should be throwing it in here in the next week or so. Might try and post a few more updates on here, life’s been crazy

I've owned my truck since it was new and have always done oil changes when the OLM tells me to. I've never managed oil changes to mileage intervals. I've used M1 5w-30 HM since I hit about 70k miles (various filters WIX, Napa gold, M1, and lately I've been using the AC Delco) and she's had no engine issues.

That being said, I'd say every 5k is probably a good interval if you want to do it by mileage.

Went to try to work in my detached garage but decided it's too damn cold, LoL. Garage is only partially insulated and I'd set my thermostat to like 35F for my gas heater.

Just cleaned some rocker arms and rails while I planned my air compressor pressure switch/regulator/water separator contraption.

I'm running into an issue with my 4WD binding up on my Tahoe. I have the Supreme Suspenions torsion key lift with pucks for the rear. Is the best way to solve this issue to switch over to a complete lift kit that comes with the differential drop parts? I'm sure this is because my axles are binding up too much. Any help would be great, thanks guys!

Is this happening all the time? while turning? With the suspension articulating?
It is mostly when turning, but also when I just put it in drive it hardly wants to move on its own without giving it any throttle. As soon as its back in 2WD its just fine. No gears have been changed, its all basically factory besides the small lift and the wheels/tires.
