Hello all. Got a 2012 with a 6.2. Truck has AFM. Doing a cam swap. I jumped the gun and did not bring the motor to TDC before starting the tear down. Since i was doing a new cam and chain anyway i figured i would that before the install. So now im confused. Got my new cam in already. The cam phaser/ vvt timing gear/ flux capacitor sprocket or camshaft timing chain gear as it used to be called has to two marks on it. One is a square box with an arrow tip one is just a straight line... What mark is used to line up with the crank gear ? Also is the crank gear/ oil pump drive gear keyway the timing mark to alighn with on the crank ? Sure wish i would have slowed down a little and looked first. Thanks in advance for the help..

Ive done several cam swaps but I have always deleted the VVT and aligned the Cam Sprocket and Crank Sprocket Dot to Dot...I think on the VVT Sprocket you go Arrow to Dot...I would wait for someone else who has done VVT cam swap to chime in and confirm...here some instructions I found from Comp that may help
