Side Blind Zone System Unvailable?
I've had that happen on my Tahoe 3-4 times since new, and every time I think I'll have the dealer look it over, 1-2 key on/key off cycles and it fixes itself before I can bring it in. I would not worry about it unless it stays broken and the dealer can diagnose it.- Fast55

The guy that handles the trucks directly sends out reports on all the trucks stops (landmarks), idle alerts, odd hour alerts, speeding, service due, fuel report etc. Most trucks are 1-3 years old max so I'd say that's '04 or '05 through 2013's. Gas trucks usually get "retired" around 100K miles...- Fast55

No, just experienced. Fords rank dead last in repairs per vehicle, GM second, and Dodge is right now on top. Fuel economy before and after a tune?
You're right, there are a lot of variables, from engine size, 2WD VS 4WD/AWD, gearing, etc. Then throw in the differences in tunes (max power VS mileage like yours). My guess is most trucks don't gain much for mileage unless it's an "economy" tune. My 6.2 Tahoe 4X4 gained very little, but...- Fast55

A good thing. They want big dollars to put the same crappy parts back in when they fail. As cheesy as the stock part is, it's amazing they last as long as they do. -

Yes, but unless you're under the 3 year mark, Jennifer and GM won't help you for free. The Gruven solution is pretty much a permanent repair. The GM part is not. -

Mine's still not right and I just haven't bothered doing anything about it. The 2-3 shift is too early unless I'm into the gas and they still need to be firmed up just a bit more. Goes like a ***** ape when you mat the pedal and shifts right at 6000 though. My last run in with an Esky or Denali...- Fast55

16 HP at the tires was before and after a dyno. The second run was quite a bit hotter than the first run 3 months earlier, probably 65 deg. VS 85 deg., but I didn't have a thermometer handy. It was the same dyno and experienced operator. I did not do it again after the tube, but BB did re-tune...- Fast55

Looking for a new vehicle; best Tahoe or Yukon in the past 7 years?
I don't like the look of the Yukon, but I do like power, so for me the choice was easy. The only year of 4X4 Tahoe with the 6.2L, 2009.- Fast55

Turn signal LED resistor...
You want the 6 ohm 50W models from V-LED's. They are able to dissipate twice as much heat (50W VS 25W). You're not looking to match the wattage of the bulbs, and no LED is even close to 25 watts. I also recommend finding a spot to mount them to the body, or better yet, use the mounting plates...- Fast55
