Got my hd hood!

I'm unsure about the HD hood look, it's different but I think a nice cowl induction hood would look better. This is just a old mans opinion and not worth much more than .02 cents the color match is good, did they blend it into the fenders?

Everybody has different tastes, the world would be a boring place if we didn't I actually like cowl hoods too. I've had one on just about every other vehicle i've owned: 88 silverado, 2000 silverado, 72 C10, and 2001 tahoe. It was just time for something different.

I had the drivers side of the yukon painted due to it being keyed, and then it was blended into the passengers side fender. It turned out good considering this color seems to be a very difficult one to color match.

I really cant remember. This was an insurance job so it all kind of runs together. I had no deductible and i think i paid him about $300 out of pocket. So if thats right then i paid him about $300 to do the cuts. All the prep and paint work would have been covered by insurance since it would of had to been done to my stock hood that was damaged.

Seems to me everyone has the cowl hood. Now if they were taller without the groove Down the center it wouldof been a tough choice for me. I love my hd hood. Sure gave it an aggressive look and a different look then all the other hoes in town. By the way the yukon looks great!!!

x2 i can honestly say i havent seen another one with that same style..love the way your grille goes all black across and the bllack accents on the ss bumper set it off! great looking truck!

That's the wife's it's a Cowl. We now have a HD hood too for hers or mine who ever gets bored first lol.

It cracks me up how many people think I have stick on hood scoop. Eew!

Question, why didn't they weld up the gap at the rear of the hood and fender and resize it? It would have been so easy with the hood off to put a small bead on each side and then file fit it.

I'm located here in San Berdoo close by, I'll shoot you over some info tomorrow on details about the hood. I'm guessing you need it on a Yukon?
