I have 2 Rockford Fosgate t2d215's and want to see if there would be anyway I could put them in the back of my Tahoe. I would want to 3rd row seats to stay in. I have not seen any enclosures that fit back there and are for dual 15's. Has anyone done this or know someone who has. I am extremely inexperienced with audio and things like that.
Thanks.

Won't fit back there in a Tahoe with the third row in. The depth is too big and on the subs for that small space.

You can probably fit two 10s back there and keep the 3rd row. I've seen boxes that are not very deep and fit perfectly behind the 3rd row. It has just enough space for two 10s. I think they might even sell them on eBay. Or you can have one custom built.

If you do not use your third row you are better off pulling it out and getting a bigger box with subs you want, and not subs you settled for because of space.
Plus, with the third row in, the subs and/or will fire direct into the gate, seats, or floor, which will not sound all that good anyways.

If you keep the third row you could do a 10 or 12 in small sealed encloser, BUT you would be sacrifice output.

I say get rid of it and go big

Thanks for the replies. If I were to get a Suburban would 2 15's have enough room in the trunk with the 3rd row in.
Thanks

Yes definitely with a burb. They do sell a box on eBay that will fit 2 10's behind the third row of a Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade though...

Possibly... What are the dimensions of your box?

that's in an 00-06, but it's just as easy in an 07+. Same basic dimensions.

Thanks. ANother question. What kind of box and amp should I buy for the subs. I have no idea what I need to buy, but I planned on having someone else actually install the subs.

Well, if you want deep bass, Go ported or vented. A box builder who knows what hes doing can build a decent box to give the sound your looking for. A sealed box still give you good bass but you won't get that back massage that we go for. As far as amps go, get one the can power both speakers. are you going 2 ohm or 4 ohm? Do you want each sub to have a dedicated amp? You can do more damage under powering your speaker than having more than enough juice for it.

Here is my old setup I had in my hoe, 2 DD 12's in a 3.1 cbft ported enclosure powered by a Planet Audio BB1400.1 all behind my 3rd row seat. It sounded great! Right now I'm trying to build a ported box to fit 3 10" Rockford P3's, should have something built by the end of the day :)

I had a friend in the Air Force that had a 03 Tahoe with 4 12" subs facing the ceiling and it sounded great. Smart people work at Best Buy, not Car Toys :p
