I'm sure it's worse for him than his truck.

I smoke in my truck, also in my house which is more expensive than my truck. Of all the reasons to quit, the cost of that in which I smoke is the least of the many valid reasons.

Its all relative to what you have available per month. If I made say $10k per month I would not think twice about spending $2k on a car.

I guess...it'd still be painful writing that kind of a check for something that is dropping in value, though. Although in this day and age houses are dropping in value too but for some reason a 2k house payment doesn't seem that outrageous

Good lord!!! How loaded is your friend??? $2k per month just for that is insane!!!! I'd rather throw that money into other things

he is pretty loaded.. he lives right near me but he also has a house in cali right on venice beach where the 2010 esky chills at just for ***** and gigs... last year he made around 750k but this year he's gonna make 1 mil+... he's a radiologist and works at the hospital all day then from 6-10 doing side work for like $190/hr... guess I shoulda been a radiologist : /

Well, I guess that shows he doesn't miss the $2k a month but I definitely got into the wrong field!! I.T. obviously was not the field to get into if cool toys was the goal....
