I asked this question earlier. He said it's a black tar like product thats sprayed on. Its a waterproofing coating, not water resistant.

I guess they make it in a roll on version as well, but he prefers the spray.

Happened to me on a fishing forum about 20 years ago. Not the mods but the owner. He always kept his phone number in his signature. I called him up to confront him about it and he would not answer. I called him out on the forum and he banned me and another dude. We wound up pulling 80% of the PA membership out of that forum when that shit went down. It was a GHOST TOWN in that section after we left. Still is now.

Just got off the phone with our builder. Masons came out and did the initial layout. Start laying block tomorrow evening or Friday morning, weather dependent.

Starlink is terrible with any amount of tree cover, regardless of how it's pointing. I mounted it to our temp power pole, but its dropping service like every 30 seconds. I'm going to move it and see if it's better pointing straight up, just outside the tree line.

One of my estimators/project managers was showing me all the stuff he was doing to his house with Ai and asked if I had a plan sheet he could mess around with.

It's not perfect but it's close enough to have an idea. He used chat gtp or gpt, whatever it's called.

I thought you goobers were some kind of tech wizards when you were sharing cars in the yard and what not...that technology is simply amazing. Took him like 20 minutes to do this. I had no idea it was that easy.

I was picturing a rancher style foundation. You really got that much change in ground level in the back of the house? Is there a basement somehwere?

No basement, neither of us wanted one. There is 10.35' in elevation change from the front corner of garage to the diagonal back corner of the house. That picture is exaggerated (it doesn't dip like that, it maintains the slope) somewhat, but it's still tall on the back side.

I do plan to back fill around 2-3' of the foundation, but it'll still be tall.

Fo sho, at least for the first little bit. I'm going to pour a pad in there, maybe 8'x 12' or so for a little additional storage.

Just make sure the builder holds the plans in the right orientation so it doesn't end up built like this.
