Man, I’m sorry you had to put up with so much shit. I have bought and sold many homes, and never had anything like that ever happen with a mortgage lending agent, so I wouldn’t have been on guard either. When I bought my last house in Colorado, it was a competitive bid situation and my lending agent burned the midnight oil to help me get that deal done. I understand that a construction loan is a different beast, but still, they should’ve been on it.

Glad you’re set for a closing next week!

Thank you

Yeah, I believe it was simply a lazy employee at the other bank. The new one, just over 3 weeks, start to finish, if we actually close on that date. I'm hesitant to get my hopes up.

In the end, its turned out to be a blessing, I feel.

Got the builders risk set up and sent to the bank.

Spoke with the builder. Meeting on site next Friday to finalize everything and get a game plan together.

I should have the house staked by then. Tentatively scheduled to dig footers week of the 22nd.

Nothing set in stone until I sign the paperwork.

We received final closing documents yesterday. Closing is scheduled for Tuesday, pending my builders risk insurance. I sent everything over for that yesterday, hopefully have it back today.
I can only imagine how relieving that must have been. There's more stress to come, I'm sure, but to be passed that finally has got to feel great!

Went out to the site on Saturday. I haven't been out there since 4/18. Catch basin grate was completely covered, so the 6" of rain we've received over the past few weeks flooded the driveway and washed it out at the road again. The weeds at the front were knee high.

I drove back out there yesterday and dug out the catch basin. Leaves/sticks had covered the grate and then 8" of mud was on top of it. I'm very thankful the basin itself wasn't full of mud. That would've been a nightmare. The berm we put around it worked, until it didn't. Note to self, make sure to keep the grate cleaned off and everything will be fine...

Steph made a post on the developments FB page and found a company to mow for us. He sent a quote over yesterday, so hopefully that gets taken care of in a day or two.

Cant do anything about the driveway for now. No work or equipment can be on site until after that do whatever with the deed is recorded.

Anywho, thats the update for the actual property.
