Installed some husky front mud flaps. Direct fit. However it appears the paint match paint i got isn't exactly matched. I guess we will see how it looks after it's dirty... see if it blends better

I thought i stole this off of this thread, but don't see it.....anyhow, i installed a 6 hi mod. I don't like the fleece one, or the other options that splice into the factory wires. I hate cut splice type mods, since they damage the wires in order to splice into them. This one is full plug and play, took less then 30 seconds to install. Fog light icon on the IC does not stay on, however the fog lights do. Now i need to upgrade the fog lights i think.....


Just plug it in under the dash and call it a day.

So an update to this, buddy of mine with a 2019 3500 had issues with his harness. Upon inspection, the 2 harnesses he got were both wired incorrectly. My gut is these are wired in batches, and his batch was wired wrong, mine was wired correctly. you can simple rewire it and move the diode over to where fleece puts their kit. This will keep your stock wires intact and undamaged, while still getting the same job done.

Last night I did the brakes all the way around plus brake fluid flush. Got 71K miles on the fronts and they were done, inside pads were to the wear indicators, outside pads were about equal thickness to the inside pads. All front pads had some cracking and separtion but no vibration at all. Rears had 92k miles, dealer did rears including new clipesr at 22K miles before I bought the truck since the rear calipers were sticking from the truck sitting for 6+ months before I bought it. I could have probably gotten another 10K-15K miles out of hte rears, but since I had everything and truck was on the jack stands already I did the rears also.

All bought from Rockauto

Centric 120.66057 - front rotors
Akebono ACT1363 - front pads
Carlson 16144 - front caliper pin boots
Centric 120.66065 - rear rotors
Akebono ACT1707 - rear pads
Centric 111.10510 - brake shoes
ADelco 18K2707 - rear brake shoe hardware kit
Carlson 16129 - rear caliper pin boots

All in about $465 for parts and another $60 in brake fluid

Those wheels 20s? What did they run ya ?
20" Steel wheels from A PPV Tahoe, paid I wanna say 250$ for the set and I found new take off tires from an F150, so all in installed with sensors it was around 750$. They are heavy though and I am not sure I like how that extra unsprung mass makes my truck drive. I guess a little heavier that the 22" that were on the Suburban OEM. The more I experiment with wheels the more I like 18" wheels on a 275/65 tire. That is the sweet spot for comfort, lightness and feathery feeling.

I had a chance to heat up the last of the chrome stuff on the trunk and swap it for black emblems. Black Bowtie and RST logo. The only chrome left on it now is inside the headlights and we are fixing that soon.

Yet another wheel change. The 20" while looking nice are just too heavy for my liking so I pulled out the old RAM 18" wheels on Falken Wildpeak AT tires. The difference in ride quality is night and day.

For anyone wanting to replace their liftgate struts, I got a set of these on Amazon since mine were damaged and making noises and the product truly surprised me.
The quality of the struts was exceptional above OEM for sure. Fit and function, they fit like the OEM units, no issues with the wiring and the liftgate now opens smoothly and without any noise. For 70$ this is a hard to beat deal. Given how well they operate ,I suspect these will last a long time.

Anyways wanted to share some details and the link for anyone interested in getting a set.

Having my first issue at 191k. Cylinder 6 misfire, P0206, led me down the rabbit hole. I first took the valve cover off and observed all the rockers which appeared to be rocking, no loose rocker bearings, no bent lifters, no signs of collapsed lifters. I then went under the intake manifold and before removing injectors, I tested resistance on them. I'm getting 1.3-1.4ohms across the board, except for #6 which is fluctuating in the mega-ohm ranges.

From what info I've gathered so far, these fuel line are one time use and will need replaced, correct?

Anything else you guys recommend looking into while I'm in here?

failed injectors are problem on the k2's there is a special 10 year coverage for it.
as for the fuel line /rail I do not know off hand, it is a high pressure line so probably wise to go with new.
