Not sure the best place for this so I might post in aa couple of forums… My 2011 Denali is approaching the end. 212,000 miles and a trans rebuild so far. I think I’m feeling the torque stutter starting again.

So which to buy next? Would you buy the 2015-2020 or 2021+? They all seem to have problems; which is the most manageable? I’ll be looking for large engine and max towing package.

I’ll probably stick with the Tahoe/Yukon family as it’s the hell I know and not venture into Ford land. I don’t really like the look of the newer ones with the huge flat front, but whatever. I need a tow vehicle. The Denali with 6.2 has been okay.

Love to hear the thoughts of those that have/had one.

the safe bet is to stick with a 2020 or older
just my opinion, there are a multitude or reasons why. Not everyone will agree.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.

Depends on what you are looking to spend, moving from a 900 to a k2 is a big improvement. And can be done pretty economically. And being that i bought mine within the last couple of years, i guess it's safe to say I would buy a K2. I like buying heavily depreciated things that a very nice.

I vote for 2015-2020 but probably a 2018-2020. Have a 2016 Tahoe..I did replace the transmission at 125K .Also the Condenser at 80K miles and the Thermostat at 150K miles..I now have 207K miles on it..Have no plans in selling it anytime soon..Right now on another trip from Miami-NYC..The Tahoe-Yukon is best long distance vehicle IMHO..Saw A LOT of them today on I-95 and even here in South Carolina where I am laying over.

Saw only a small sprinkling of the Expedition.

Stay with the Escalade Luxury, RST or Denali 2018-2020 10 speed 6.2. I have 145k and my 10 speed is perfect. 30k transmission changes doing the drop pan and refill. I change the filter every other time. I bought it with 48k so I was not the original owner so my lifters did fail passenger side at 79k and driver side lifter and camshaft at 108k. Ever since I did the engine work at 108k I been putting Castrol Oil Edge Dexos 1 gen 3 5w30 with oem filter every 3-4k. My oil psi went from 25psi hot idle when its 95 degrees outside to 30 psi which keeps it within the lifter requirements from Melling who manufactures the lifters for GM.
