they design them to make it thru the warranty period and that's it.
A billet one is stronger
I hear that.
When I have more money and time down the line, I'll upgrade the converter myself.
This is my daily and I'm just glad to have it back and driving only being down 3 days. Driving my Camaro to work is fun and all, but worrying about parking, door dings, and it still being there at the end of my work day isn't fun lol.

Key FOB died today with no warnings. Started up no problem once I put the FOB in the tray. Battery is at least 2.5 years old so I guess it’s due but I haven’t had any problems at all with it until today. I was leaving the Jets game so it was that kind of day

I bought a 2020 Suburban RST with 250k miles... not bad of a vehicle given the millage. It's quite mint in every aspect. Hart to believe the odometer.

Need to swap out my thermostat and temperature sensor. 3rd time in past 3 years I get no reading and fans running. The last time I went to swap them out everything was working again by time found time to do it a week later. It’s not my daily so it’s sits a bit. Kinda hope it would start working again and hold on until warmer weather but meh, what ya gonna do?

i had my exhaust updated with with a Magnaflow 18" muffler and dual outlets exiting just below the bumper. I wish I could use the lower bumper with the cutouts for the exhaust, but, oh well. My sound clips didn't come out good enough, so I'll try again tomorrow.

Changed the air filter today, how old do you think this filter is? I'm guessing it's at least 100k miles old. stuffed with dust and debris.

The shocking pat is the Suburban still gets 21mpg on the highway. With a new filter I will probably see even more maybe 22mpg now.

Installed a flex fuel sensor so we can run some E85 on the L83. GM says that on E85 this produces around 385hp which would be a welcome gain.

Installed new MagRide rear shocks. The difference is incredible. The old ones were working fine but the air lift was leaking and this now rides fantastic and the air leveling works as it should.

Full inspection. Car checks out from all aspects and it now has 248,000miles and is ready for the journey to 300k.

Front diff fluid was a little dirty but is now changed and the only thing left to do is rear diff which will be done another day.

I LIKE THAT. How hard were they to install?

Hardest part was getting the mud off the inner fenders. We (unlike everyone else) did not get a winter this year. So while the ground SHOULD be frozen right now, it's not. It's all mud. And being that we have several miles of dirt roads prior to getting to our house, the mud got into the fenders. In hindsight, is should've hose it off first. But overall, very easy plug and play. DRLs run into an unused powered fuse (#75) But pretty straightforward honestly. I do think GM could design it where you don't need to pull the bumper to pull the headlights. but designers, engineers, and mechanics evidently don't ever need to talk to each other. After i get them aimed tonight i'll take some pictures of their output. Biggest benefit though, is i no longer have to act like a BMW when turning left. Old front driver's side housing had water and moisture in it that ruined the contacts for the turn signal, so even with a new bulb and connector, it did not work. I do have a video of operation, but i'll be taking a better one that shows the start up sequence. Really brings the exterior into 2026 IMHO. Next up is updating the interior some

I installed an oil catch can on my L83 as I am about to cross over 250k miles, I decided to test and see how much oil I am catching. IN the summer we will pull the intake manifold and see how dirty the ports are.

Ethanol is running good, no issues so far, I pushed the % up to 30 this morning, you cant really tell anything is different. MPGs seem to have gone up about 1mpg.

Got this pop up today.
Think something needs to be reset, or did it just go bad finally and I’ll need to replace the TPMS?
The tire sensors usually last 6-7 years. Your best bet is to change them all. I choose discount tire. I paid $60 per tire. They include rotation, balance and 5 year warranty.

Yeah I got my latest set of KO2's through discount tire so I'll have them redo the sensors in them all for $60 each. Thanks for the advice!
