Changed out all 7 plastic fitting with metal ones today.

I installed oem ones at thw firewall 10 years ago when I bought my denali. But wanted to go to the metal ones after doing them on my escalade.

Changed oil, oil pressure sensor and the negative battery cable. I was concerned about the corrosion leaching into the cable and eventually causing issues.

Also attempted to change my battery tray but I have some rusty hardware that's going to be a challenge.

Replaced the crusty power steering cooler i got called out on. Lol.
Behind the grill of my ’05 Yukon, I was bugged by the 2 diagonal support braces you can see through the grill.
I cleaned them a bit… I then put some flat black gaffer’s tape on it….. Now the view is much cleaner.
(( Gaffer’s tape….. Used for stage & movie work to secure wires on floors, etc……and to hide reflection, due to it’s fabric-type finish. It lasts 10 times longer than standard ‘duck tape’……. it also holds up against the sun’s heat.

But, since you have the grill removed, you just paint them black again. ( Gaffer’s tape won’t deteriorate from road dust like paint will..again.. )

Today I changed the oil and checked the other fluids on my 2001 Tahoe. I changed the oil at 3000 miles because the last time I did the oil change was February 10, 2025. The Tahoe is our trip vehicle but we did not go on many road trips this past year, we did a lot of plane travels instead due to time issues and going to England.

I have owned this Tahoe since brand new on July 13, 2001 and it has 133000 miles on it.

I would like to see more pics from different sides. My color is similar, a little brighter maybe, but trying to decide between color match and black for the appliques.
Even though my Yukon is the dark graphic metallic color, … I think, a black appliqué is a cleaner look….
It blends with the tinted glass / wrap-around color…...
A body color, up the corner, “ doesn’t go anywhere “……. IMO.

That looks great with the updated tail lights too. Looks very modern.

today I noticed one of my parking lights doesn't function as a parking light anymore, but it works when I use my blinker, interesting
