Ordered the A-premium metal door handles.. $140 for a set..

Still a plastic base. But now I have a reason to take off the door panels, and can check why my rear windows are so loose.

Ya know, mine are too. Let us know what you find, I'm curious.

I found this Bug deflector thingy ma bob for $25 bucks shipped to my door. AVS brand, still had original plastic on it. Had a crack in the middle and I guess it was a return. You cant even tell with it installed at all. Score!

Starting to sound like that's how the windows are.. These guys posted when their trucks were just 2-3 years old.
Guess there's a fix, but maybe it'll only last a couple years? Will update if I find anything..

Speaking of tailgates….;) A few weeks ago my boy hooked the trailer to the tahoe, drove up the property to the driveway and went to load the mower.. welp, he didn’t realize the trailer wasn't seated all the way on the ball and the minute he got the mower up the ramp the trailer flipped up, the chains stopped it and when he backed off the tongue of the trailer came down barely missing the glass and scraped the paint off the hatch, bowtie and handle…. He’s 14 going on 15 in a few weeks (maybe lol)…. He was literally shaking because he thought i was gonna freak out on him and was offering me money and telling me how sorry he was but i told him to relax, it was an accident and now you know to make sure the traiker is completely seated on the ball and the latch is hooked and pinned. He had the latch locked down and pin in but it just wasn’t completely ‘on the ball’ lol….. such is life. Amazing that ive owned this truck since new and any little bumps and bruises are the result of everyone else in my household driving it.

2 things… yes my rear windows have flopped since brand new. Not annoyingly but you can basically move them around when they are down. My drivers window rattles when all the way down…i pull the switch up slightly (not enough for it pop through the belt molding and felt but enough to keep tension on the regulator) anyway, thats my story….

I could hear the what I think was the ring growling, definitely a rotational noise. I did replace the rear brakes a couple months ago and thought when it first started doing it that it might be a sticky caliper or something but it changed fairly rapidly within a couple days to a deceleration noise, coasting from 40mph by 30-20 you could really hear it, applying brake made no difference.
I should have it back in a couple days if not sooner 4wheel parts doesn't mess around. I made the appt with them last week then parked it.

I have been driving the Silverado then the wife took it Monday and called me because there was fluid leaking out all over the ground, turned out to be transmission fluid from the trucool I installed with the supplied rubber lines, one of the lines was leaking so I patched that up and ordered 6an lines and fittings so that won't happen again I should have done it already because I knew they would leak eventually like they did on the Yukon. took about 4-5 years though.
Funny the transmission fluid made a hell of a mess and puddles on the ground but I don't think it lost more than a pint because that's all I added and it's 100% full, checked it multiple times.
Yeah mine is making the same noise. I was hoping parking brake was set wrong…wishful thinking but I knew once I heard it while in the back spinning the wheels by hand it wasn’t the parking brakes or wheel bearings. Luckily I have all the parts already…unless I jump from the 8.6” up to the 9.5”.

Bummer about the tru-cool. At least it wasn’t on the highway or towing anything. -6an is the way to go. Are you running the whole way or just the rubber hose and fitting portions?

ALL 6AN from the hardlines to the trucool
just waiting on 1 longer line to get here
same thing I did on the yukon when it started leaking, I guess it doesn't help that I drive it like smokey & the bandit all the time lol

After having the day off finally and sleeping in a bit I got the 3 s’s done. Got lunch.

Mowed and weed whacked. Cleaned that all up with the blower.

Watched some of the NASCAR race from Indy last week .

Pulled the r/r wheel off the Tahoe to investigate the pressure sensor issue. When I broke the bead I saw that the entire transmitting assembly was missing from the valve stem.

Broke out the inspection camera to take a look around the inside of the tire. Found all the pieces laying in there.

I must have knocked it loose when installing the tire a few weeks ago and it came apart and set the dash warning off.

Using the inspection camera and a grab tool I got most of the pieces out.

There was one little plastic washer left I could not get. I busted out the fluid extractor and it sucked it right up.

That called for a celebratory brewski.

Installed the new TPMS, popped the outer bead back on and filled to spec pressure.

Remounted the wheel and did the TPMS relearn. All good to go.

Aluminium does sound more exotic and scientific than dumdum aluminum.
Con-trover-sy or contro-versy?

That map is said to modify spark timing relative to coolant temp.
Maps like that interpolate. Which is why I figure at 203 degrees, halfway between 194 and 212. [(0) + (-3)] / 2 *should* be -1.5 degrees @203 coolant temp. Have not verified, not sure I can isolate that parameter to log. So far temps are below 190 with any movement, fan set to 195, so I may never get that hot again.

Maybe more importantly, change the fan settings from the stock 201degF. Probably never gets that hot except idling anyway.
Once you start moving, temps drop fairly quickly.
Contro-verr-see. But I would imagine my sitter from when I was very young and still learning English, may have said it Con-trow-verr-see.

Via the MAP sensor Ok, that makes more sense. That was going to be my next question. You can adjust the temp settings and have them stick (as in not need to be changed each time you start the vehicle - I’m guessing yes with my Tech2) - correct?
You’re saying you went from 201° down to 195° - regarding when the fan(s) kicks on?
