Hi You Fantastic group of Individuals!

I have just recently traded my much loved 97 GMC YUKON and it was suggested to me to get a thread going here on my recent purchase.

Here it is! A 2015 Jeep Wrangler

3.6 l V6
1000010783.jpg
New 20" wheels and tyres
1000010783.jpg
Have been doing a few thousand km recently and needed to find something that I could use to tow and enjoy offloading.
1000010787.jpg
very tidy inside and of course right hand drive for our roads here in New Zealand
1000010786.jpg
going for a 1st road trip tomorrow over to Banks Peninsula.
I will make sure to take some pictures for you so you can take in the journey.
Cheers and catch up with you on the road :favorites37:

Nice looking Jeep Wrangler. Will the engine have enough ooomph for the towing you do? What is the gearing? Did you check for that possible oil leak I talked about? If you have paperwork that says has been done already, it likely has the updated version.

Love build threads! How's the upholstery on the front seats? Still in good shape?
Good morning!
5.30am Sunday here
Lol just about time to get up.

The upholstery is in perfect condition Tony! Very happy with how it has been looked after.
No marks on the interior.
No holes or scratches!

Hi Ron
I was thinking about your caution yesterday so before we leave on our 1st wee road trip this morning I will check oil and coolant and wheel nut tension.

I was reading the Export decal on the door frame and its says vehicle weight is just under 2500 kg.
That is very similar to the Yukon roadside weight so I am confident in the vehicles ability to handle correctly.

As for power the jeep gets along well and the trailer handles very well even behind our wee 04 Subaru outback

I'm sure we are going to enjoy the adventure to these destinations!
And we can enjoy popping the top off during warm weather runs.

1st time under the bonnet.
Oil and coolant good!
I cannot see the oil filter from up here @OR VietVet

Will have assume the position and slide up under there a get to know her from below decks. Haha

Glad I checked the wheel nuts!
Tyre guys and their ratchet guns are Bipolar!!
They never get even tension.
Passenger side(left her) all loose!
Evened up all round with a bar to my own feel good tension.

Let's get on the road!

Oil filter is on top of engine held with 19mm nut. Take the cover off and you should see it.

I believe you have to remove the engine cover to see the filter housing.

Here is a wee toy I have not shared yet!
1989 D21 Terrano 3l v6 stick shift
(Pathfinder)
Lol another thread maybe

Oh man I was about to give you absolute crap for trading the Yuk for the jeep...then I saw the Nissan...my first car was a 1994 (still the hardbody) 4 door Pathfinder! Auto, but I corrected that and got my next, 02 Xterra, with the 5 speed as God intended...man do I miss both of those trucks.
