Washed and waxed the 2012 this afternoon. She cleans up real nice. Of course she gets washed at least every other week in the summer and never sees salt in the winter because we don’t commute.

The spring harmonics and the weights of the springs, retainers, pushrods, and valves would only matter to the tune if you're increasing the rev limiter RPM, and the valves would only affect tuning if their edge profile and/or stem size changed the flow more than a few percent.
Ah ok, good to know. And no change to rev limiter; its the wife's DD so I'm already hoping the new cam and everything isn't too 'noticeable' by her :p

Got the headers and y-pipe mocked up on my basement floor, and have some initial thoughts: They recommend four clamps as an optional upgrade, but don't offer a 3.5" band clamp to connect the y-pipe to the first extension, so I had to order one of those separately.

They forgot to include a bung for that downstream O2 sensor on the pipe that runs along the transmission crossmember.... maybe I can find an old sparkplug to jam in there.

The transition diameters from the 3.5" y-pipe to the factory exhaust connector leave a little to be desired. In that 2nd pic you can see the severe step-down from 3.5" to 3", then down to 2.75". I think I can just make it work with 3" back to my existing cat-back system, but I might order a 3.5" to 3" reducer cone to make the transition less abrupt.

I'm still waiting on the back-ordered spark plug wire fire sleeves, and they say the restock is due on 7/31, so I have time to work on how I'm going to undo those six annoying manifold downpipe to cat. bolts.
What brand/company's header and Y-pipe kit is this?

I finally got to drive the Yukon at night when it is really dark and I must say the new headlights are a huge improvement over the stock headlights.
One reason it took so long is I am far enough north that, in the summer time, it doesn't start to get dark until around 9:15pm and isn't completely dark until almost 10pm
The cutoff is crisp, brighter light and the high beams are a massive improvement.
Very happy with them, performance wise.
They are growing on me in the 'looks' dept.

Meh, too far north and west…. Im east coast kinda peeps… plus nobody gets my humor out that way…
I love it out here.
An immeasurable improvement from living in Calif.
At any of the local watering holes, you can have people with 8 plus figure bank accounts casually chatting with some guy that operates heavy equipment or works on a local ranch.
And the rich guy usually drives a 1 ton pickup.

At this point, you couldn't pay me to live in NY state.
Yes, I know the northern part is beautiful and nothing like the city, but it's all shackled together.
Just like the really nice parts of Calif, they are dragged down by the politics of the big cities.

Installed the grill. I’m done with the front end as far as the look I was trying to accomplish. That’s what I was looking for. I ordered a black billet bowtie but I color matched the original on a whim and like it better.

Edit: there is on e more thing- what are you guys doing for LED fogs? @Doubeleive Wes , don’t you have some fairly budget lights that you use that fit in the holes and work good?
