Waiting waiting waiting

I cant really complain about anything with this truck.

Wifes daily and road trip truck for 6 years…

My ‘plow’ truck

My daily for a year

Oldest daughters daily for 1.5 years

Middle daughters daily since last October

Drive my son around with small trailer to mow lawns on weekends

Only thing i had to do was a starter 2 years ago… minus maintenance items

1 maintenance item i missed was diff fluids so i guess this is my fault

Today was the first time the spare has been down and im mad I scratched up the tools. Surprisingly it came down with no problem because looking at the hanger i was sure i was going yo have a problem.

Its served me well

Im am however disappointed at the rust underneath… unfortunately NY like dump salt by the triaxles every 2 feet in the winter not to mention the brine stuff they put down.

I also told her something f’s up … she’s paying….. such is life…:)

Well, got home with it at 430ish, drove my son to wrestling and picked him up at 730, disassembled the jy rear and got under my truck by 8pm….rear completely out at 10pm and every little fastener broke except for 1 sway bar bolt, and i sprayed everything down, heavy with pb….all the large bolts were no problem. I definitely should do certain things to the jy rear but im gonna change the earl and send it. Tommorrow is another day….

Currently retrofitting a carbon cabin filter into the slot where the factory dum-dums omitted one. I have the plastic cover cut out, and am spraying coil cleaner up in there as we speak.

Any additional tips for getting the coils clean?

Highly recommend get an induction heater and hit every bolt with that until its orange before you try breaking them loose.

I just debadged it yesterday and am contemplating removing the side moldings. Does anyone have any regrets after removing theirs? I kinda like the fact they protect against door dings but they don’t look great do they?

The only problem I had when I removed mine was the pass side B door was replaced and repainted so behind that strip it was a little discolored but you can barely see it unless you know to look for it. Other than that I don't miss them or the badging one bit.
