Yes, and also when I select 2008, GMC, Truck/light duty, C, 6.0 LY6...

I believe the 2013 and 2014 Yukon SLT 5.3 are functionally identical.
They are the same but GM was insistent that our Tech-2s wouldn't work on them.

When I first started using the Tech-2, I remember calling my car a 2004 Malibu and a different menu came up and allowed me to do things you can't do otherwise. Don't remember what though, it was a long time ago.

I wonder if this tactic might work to allow me to finally recalibrate the steering angle sensor on my '07. I installed a new one a few years ago but messed it up when the wheel moved ever so slightly before turning the key on, and now as soon as I turn the wheel the first time after starting, I get the Stabilitrak/TC off warning. I don't even notice it any more, but I would like to fix it without replacing the thing, but it's not an option on the GMT900 menus. Going to play around a bit and see.

Yeah, try a 2500HD truck or van.

Here's the actual report from the inspection:

I kinda knew the emission stuff wouldn't pass, since I recently did the rear O2 sensors, and apparently haven't driven enough miles/hours to complete the internal readiness tests. The TPMS is dumb, because my winter wheels/tires don't have the sensors. There should be a way to turn that alarm off in the Tech2, yeah??? And I've had 6qts of fresh synthetic and a new filter waiting for the oil change for a while. I think they just looked at the oil change monitor percentage (that I never reset). It's only been 4500-5000 miles since the last change.

I ordered two AC Delco balljoints from Scamazon (I know... I don't care) because they'll get here Saturday, so I have time to rent the tool and maybe buy a pickle fork.

They'll fail you for not doing an oil change? That's dumb.
Go to the jy and look for a good inspection sticker!

ordered a new sunroof switch, mine works but the lights are burnt out which is not a big deal but I have poor soldering skills and all the other lights work so...... why not
and stupid passenger side mirror I replaced last year after hitting another mirror on a big ass truck parked halfway in the road, the power fold motor took a dump so I will throw my old motor on it that still works fine

They are a truck company first, and make other stuff for the **** & pickles. GMT900 Silverados died in 2013.
Technically, the GMT900 HDs were made in 2014 as well. But I know what you mean. Just happy to have finally confirmed that the trusty old Tech-2 will work on a 2014 GMT900. I'm trying to talk my wife into one instead of a much newer and more expensive 2025. I want land and a shop, not another car payment!

that's been confirmed a long time ago. I helped out guy that is probably no longer on here but lived close by and did a nav radio upgrade on his 2014 2500, we connected to sps and did the unlock and then all he needed to add was a gps antenna and it worked like a charm.
when you are using the tech2 it doesn't "really" go by year, it mostly goes by the vin letters.
it does ask for the year but (I THINK) that's only because some features were added or removed over time.
I can go tell it mine is a different year and most of the functions will still work fine
When it is/was used for programming via the pc all you do is connect it and turn it on, the computer does the rest via the vin number that it reads from the vehicle

Changed the front, rear differential fluid. Did the transfer case as well. 216K on the clock. Rear differential oil looked new, found 2 small metal shavings on the plug. Front differential oil was slightly milky. Small shavings porcupine on the plug. Transfer case fluid was dark and dungy. Medium sized porcupine of shavings on the p,ug.

Replaced both lower ball joints, to comply with the failed safety inspection. Now I just have to wait for the EVAP system and O2 Sensor heater readiness tests to complete. I recently changed the rear O2 sensors, and I guess it's been too cold for the emissions system to run all they way through its tests.

That is good price.
One of the switches on mine has an intermittent light, if I notice it is not lit, I can tap it and it comes back on.
For that price I will order one and just replace it.

It’s my understanding you have to drive about 50 miles to get the monitors to reset.

Most better scan tools can reset the steering angle sensor.
Mine has a SAS reset function.

rockauto has it for $27 but then they hit you for shipping & tax, I use my business account on amazon and it's $36.xx so free ship and no tax
rockauto will do no tax on a resale but I haven't ever submitted mine to them

let it sit overnight and then take it for a 55mph cruise about 20 minutes down the highway and back and if possible take a side road without hitting the brakes and let it slow down on it's own to almost a complete stop, then let it sit and idle 5-10 minutes a couples times, repeat for a couple days and it should set

Huh, discovered there are 2 different versions luckily the buttons can be swapped otherwise won't fit the panel because of the gap in the middle. Was just messing around in the junkyard and got this one for free, they gave it to me, lights work I can return the one I ordered

On second thought I'll probably just put the new one in when it comes, this one lights up but not much, but there are 2 styles for future reference, the one with close buttons came out of a 2008 with the rear folding seat buttons that they deleted
