where does your amp pick up power from?
Directly off the battery with that 4awg wire.

And is your alternator wire upgraded as well?
Yes it's an 0 gauge wire. It's in the picture there, but I'm planning on redoing my power terminal as well since that little 10mm bolt doesn't inspire confidence. I just have to plan out everything since there's 3 or 4 connections I have to make and 3 of them have to be fused. I hope that'll fix it, or it might be too late for this battery and I have to get an XS or something higher powered.

I can pull up on my window switches with the windows up and my headlights don't dim anymore so I know under the hood is rock solid.

I just think the amp pulls more power than it puts out and it pisses me off :)

Put her to the test today and she passed with flying colors. My first really big haul! Tow/haul mode is a very interesting feature, it feels like an entirely different gearbox! Nothing out of the ordinary except for a distinct low tone "brrrr" at 2k rpm ~50mph like it's a much lower rpm. Step on it a bit and it goes away. Anyways this was the main reason I got my Tahoe in the first place and yeah, i'm more than satisfied. Will be more than adequate for pulling horse trailers in the future

The 2500 'Burb is officially de-jankified with the addition of new headlights to replace the one that leaked, a Dorman driver door handle that is steel reinforced so it doesn't break when this fat-ass gets in the truck, fender flares, and a skid plate underneath. Also installed a new temperature sensor to see if it fixes the "Engine Hot/AC Turned Off" code I've been getting randomly and noted in this thread: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/engine-hot-warning-ac-lockout.150990/

This all follows the new Bilstein 5100 shock absorbers, new front and rear bump stops, new aluminum radiator, and all fluids changed out. I'll get around to new tires in a month or so then completely new brakes and front hubs before our trip next June.

Pix to follow. Currently entertaining the grandkids.

Took me all evening to open that box, that was some seriously sturdy packaging!
Anyways here it is, straight from china to cut out the middlemen

Carried most of the attachments and stuff inside for the night but it has all the bells and whistles like a hydraulic thumb etc.

Re-did my grounds because I noticed constant corrosion on my negative terminal and my lights started dimming. I think I solved my headlights dimming but my interior lights are still dimming with my music…

I’m trying to understand how that can happen given I upgraded all my ground to 0 awg OFC, and have a 300a alternator. I also tested my battery and got 100% health

I really need to ditch the clarion amp I have, it’s been nothing but problems since I bought it….

Was there anything wrong with it?
Oh yeah....

Rust, mostly. The amount of salt and pre-treat/brine they dump on the roads around here is criminal, and everything underneath was crusty orange. When I attempted to move it two days ago so it would be lined up for the flatbed/trailer taking it away the fuel line blew right at the gas tank, so it'd stall out 5 seconds after firing up, or immediately if you touched the throttle.

Gonna try and find time this weekend to do a full wax on my hoe while the weather is still good for doing it in. And seal the roof shark fin to see if the damn leak stops. We have had basically no rain at all for the past 5 months. She gets washed once a week and I still have the wet spot under the front mat all week.

Did you check the sunroof water drain channels? Not an expert but it's quite frequent those channels get clogged on cars in general, causing water buildup against the sunroof seals yada yada. Easy to see if you get a ladder, spray water on it and it won't drain away.

No sunroof I despise them. I'm hoping it's the fin gasket. I'm gonna seal that up tomorrow and see what happens next week after I run through the car wash Sunday night.

Changed my oil (I'll be back with my mileage) EDIT: 260816 and counting
Changed my rear pads, not sure why but they were gone, literally gone metal to metal. May have to look into some new brakes.
Greeted by P0741 on my way for a 6 hour round trip drive (boy was that a long ass drive), I changed the TCC solenoid today and voila back to normal. I'll go for a longer drive tomorrow juuuust to make sure :)
