What does the blue connection do?

This is my harness. Nothing connects to the blue

Okay it must be this. I lost it in the sea of wiring somehow. But that still doesn’t connect this factory blue connection

Is it a coax cable? GPS antenna or something with rear entertainment maybe?

it is a sma connector so it is either gps or onstar, if it is onstar then you don't need it anyway

Now just to figure out the factory usb it seems I got the wrong adapter

I bought a adapter that fit for mine, but I believe you can just trim the plastic part off the factory connector and then it will work

it's just mini usb, the plastic part is what is stopping it from inserting all the way, but the adapter you bought should work
not a big deal for now just goes to the center console

if you have the 3rd row drop down screen that is a seperate issue, 2nd row and 3rd row video have to be patched together to make the 3rd row work

So I got the usb to work. The metal contact was definitely not the right shape. I removed the plastic from the adapter and forced it on. The metal reformed to the shape of the connector and it works now.

for video output? should work with the built in rca and anything you can throw a on thumb drive
video to the rear is just composite

So I got my laptop displaying on the front screen but nothing on the rears. I am not sure if it will only work from the RCA input from the rear of the center console or something. I dont have something to test with, Illl need rca to hdmi converter to test

you need to be sure you have a couple things set correctly
1. if using android auto/apple carplay turn off the phone (this just eliminates any phone interfereance for now)
2. play your source media, then select the menu and be sure mirroring is on usually this has to be enabled every time.
3. go to the rear controls and be sure the source is not set to aux, etc you should be able to toggle thru it
4. if you are not using a microswitch to bypass video in motion, then the parking brake should be set (and wire attached)
the reason I say to turn off the phone because it will disable mirroring and will not let you select it, at least on mine it does.
