Just got back from a 10 day, 1700 mile road trip with my family. Yukon ran great and we wrapped up the trip with a visit to Oceano Dunes.
It had been about 16 years since my last visit and my first time with a 2WD vehicle. With 15 lbs in each tire we went everywhere.
When we were ripping around I asked my kids if they were having fun, my son yelled back, “This is more than fun!”
I will share a video later this week.
Had no idea the hybrids ran different tails1. ESV rack, painted caps with AutomotiveTouchup - probably the easiest painting I've ever done.
2. Hybrid tails - no wiring modifications necessary, but don't look too closely at the bumper. I'm going to go back to the PYP yard for the glass as the regular glass rubs on the sides.

I hate that I can't do this in this state...
What's the prognosis?

This is exactly what I do with our registration stickers to make sure I get it aligned properly.![]()

Hmm... Something I will have to check next time I go to the PYP.Hybrid has a fixed glass.

Edit: I checked the photos of the vehicle in question. Definitely no handle. I'll have to pull it apart to see how it goes together.
Thanks for pointing that out. It's not a major rub fortunately, but the top plastic trim is visually noticeable. I'll come up with a plan when I visit the yard again. The rear hatch is aluminum and the glass is glued to the frame kinda like how the windshield is. If you're gonna keep your Hybrid appliques, you might be able to shave the sides of the glass. Or modify the mounting points of the appliques to sit a little wider. Maybe reshape them by softening with a heat gun?
@89Suburban when I needed to "acquire" an inspection sticker for my Hoe--what works best to peel off the sticker is starter fluid or brake clean spray with a sharp razor blade--going slowly. The Jersey stickers have those metallic looking sticker onnthe bottom of the paper sticker that'll say "void" if it gets damaged. Works every time.I like it right where it is and once it touches the glass, it sticks. I gotta have some way to get it just right cuz I might have windshield tint one day and I'd need a cutout for the sticker.![]()

I'm not a star certified smog tech.Why can't you?
That's good for a winter blend!~65%. I figured 64% based on the MPG and my sensor is reporting 63%. It's consistently about 2% lower than the test tube test. Plenty accurate for me and WAY better than the ~40 points low it calculated with the virtual sensor.
