Not sure on our vehicles, but others I've had, there would be match marks on the drive shaft and on the pinion housing or flange and usually when removing the driveshaft you would re-install matching up the marks.
is this what you are talking about, kinda looks like they marked it though

Those look like weights that were tacked on at the factory.

The red/orangish lines (above your arrow on the left) are like the marks I'm talking about. Looks like someone marked the flange and the yolk and those are lined up. Try to find the same type of mark on the shaft

Had to go back and exchange the first one with a broken gauge.. then it worked. There is an overflow port afterall in the filler neck..

which exits on the bottom here...

so you need this adaptor...

so thank you everyone, your concerns/theories all valid.

block combustion tester turned up negative, but was thinking it only leaks when cold so may not be a reliable test for that type of leak.. took about 5-10 seconds in exhaust stream to show positive..So a small leak only when cold may not put enough c02 in the coolant to show..

will test for leakdown tonight and keep watching my coolant level...

was 105 degrees today, on freeway cruising at 80mph my temps hit 204.. might need the radiator side flaps..

@Doubeleive im sorry man. Really getting sick of the high rates and ****** service myself.

My accelerator replacement was a total FAIL. Had to limp home 1/8 throttle with the 4 ways on about 20 miles and manually shifting gears to use that momentum of down hill rolling 30 HP to make it.

I will have to replace my TB sensor and or complete TB and drop it off for the fkn idle relearn Monday I guess.

TIRED!!!!!!

not that's interesting, there is one but it's built in and comes out the bottom? clever.

if you want to, you can send an oil a sample off, they can tell if there's coolent in the oil. if it's getting into the cyl, it should be getting past the rings into the oil too, leaving behind whatever it is they look for as coolent. I forget what exactly it is.

I'm pretty sure I smell it in the exhaust.. (unless it's E85 I'm smelling?)
The pressure has dropped from 17psi to 15psi in about 15-20 minutes.

The test sounds good, but after driving around to three autoparts stores for a coolant tester, I'm thinking I better save my energy for the head gasket job..! :banghead:

Amsoil, what did you expect?

haha.. yeah it's pricey stuff.

got oil for the car too. switching it from 5w30 mobile 1 to the newer 0w40 in amsoil.

still torn if I switch the yukon to it. since it gets lots of oil changes haha.
