Holy crap!!!! ...This is PRECISELY what I need. You have no idea how long I've been looking for a work-around for not having GM's Technology package on my AT4.So this is also in the all-round view function. Where the camera shows the front and rear wheels
Well, as far as I know, this is a regular function in my Denali. It is called a surround view system or a 360 ° camera. It is implemented with the help of four cameras. One in the front, one in the back, and two cameras in the side mirrors. I don't know if it is possible to put an additional car. But the package is very convenient, when mining in the city on our large cars. And to park close to the curb without scratching the rims))))Holy crap!!!! ...This is PRECISELY what I need. please DM me with the details. Thx
Oh, so this is a part of your pre-existing technology package then... I was under the belief that you had those extra cameras grafted on to your mirrors, and found a work-around solution to adding extra cameras to your Yukon... Never mind.Well, as far as I know, this is a regular function in my Denali. It is called a surround view system or a 360 ° camera. It is implemented with the help of four cameras. Only RES. I think the front screen is limited without some sort of coding. I see those plug ins that run tv and other apps but heard it’s sluggish/laggy and they are $400…Does the retro Pie run on the front screen, or just the RES?
I'm on a mission to get two things working for the main display and Apple Car Play. Some kind of remote camera app that lets me see my kid in his rear facing seat, and a real time radar weather app so I can see the storms as we drive through them. Holy grail right there I tell ya...
I will admit, it took most of my holiday weekend working on the wash and prep work. Good thing was she worked most of the weekend so it didnt interfere with plans.@Chad G 1979 The Tahoe looks great, nice work!
Gotta love that wife appreciation. Mine would not have had the patience for me to do that to ours. She would have just said: “How much is it to pay someone to do that?”.
Pics?!I will admit, it took most of my holiday weekend working on the wash and prep work. Good thing was she worked most of the weekend so it didnt interfere with plans.

Took the family camping on the Crooked River south of Prineville, OR. Beautiful spot - not crowded even on the 4th of July weekend.
The more we drive this rig the more we enjoy it. We were able to load all our food, clothes, tent, sleeping bags, etc. into the rig and not use a rooftop box. With the 9-seat config we had 6 people in the first two rows and then one in the 40-split of the third row. The 60-split was folded down and that area plus the cargo area held all of our gear.
One additional observation of this DMax Yukon XL. The AC will make the kids start asking for blankets! Temps on the trip were in the mid 90’s and this system has no problem keeping up. Auto setting at 68, pretty soon everyone is telling me “Dad, it’s too cold!”
