If you wish, you can post a video of the noise and we can weigh in on likely causes.will change the oil to de syntetic ASAP. The odd thing is that when you start the truck thre is no noise for several minutes , after while there is the ticking noise...

Thanks for the interest. I am very grateful. Here are the videos, the shortest and most static, it is the one that was taken cold. The second is after a while, already hotter. GreetingsIf you wish, you can post a video of the noise and we can weigh in on likely causes.

I will gladly , but I am having trouble downloading it. Is there a whatsapp number or email where I can send you the two videos (they are less tah 20 seconds each, don´t know why it says is too large). Thanks very muchIf you wish, you can post a video of the noise and we can weigh in on likely causes.

You adjust them initially to complete the long block or when putting heads/valve train, etc back on. Its not like a solid roller or flat tapper cam where lash has to be periodically maintained but hydrauic pushrods / lifters can occassionally come out of adjustment but admittedly its rare.@NickTransmissions Can the valves on these motors be adjusted?
What does that mean? When I change the lifters and camshaft, the heads and valves were machined and settled.
Sorry, for My English. Means that since I took heads off, I did send them rectified and the valves tooWhat does that mean?
Did you:Sorry, for My English. Means that since I took heads off, I did send them rectified and the valves too
Yes, the kit I bought came with lifters, camshaft, trays, but I didn't change the knock sensor. Yes we adjust the valves .Did you:
- replace the lifters and trays?
- adjust the valves once you put the heads, pushrods and rocker arms back on?
Also, replacing the knock sensors on these engines is standard fare for whenever you have to pull the plenium for any reason and if they have never been replaced. Not saying it's your problem, its more of a preventative maintenance measure to ensure they dont become one.
Got it. Listened to your video again, def sounds like pass side perhaps either #2 or #4.Yes, the kit I bought came with lifters, camshaft, trays, but I didn't change the knock sensor. Yes we adjust the valves .
