I hope you're gonna do a build thread. What's the interior look like?

like someone either had a really good time, or got sick in there. :jester:

Yeah it's getting some work done there.
big things,

Engine first.
Lift so I can put on 33's
stock tires look silly.

then the little things slowly.

I had a few sets of oem Jeep seat covers--used--but they had came out of new vehicles that the people had wanted leather instead.

we had a rental a while back that had seat covers I liked, I might get something like that.
They were that wetsuit material stuff.

The foam looks good, not too terrible to sit in.
it's not the tahoe, but not too bad.

I'll get interior pictures soon, I did some cleanup using compressed air and knocked a bunch of the crap out. :hahano:

You just like working on trucks buddy. Like my addiction to pistols and triggers. I like making them shoot more than I like shooting them….

I have a similar addiction.
I have been flexing my addiction too much, the jeep should give me a little break from trying to fill up my safe. :disgust:

You can run 33s easy without a lift on a jk. You can run 285-75-17s on it stock which is a 34-11.50. Don’t put a lift on until you figure out what you want to do to it. Just my advice. JK axles are decent but can handle more than a 35 at the mall. Find a set of new JL rubicon or JT gladiator wheels and tires. They are 33s and will bolt right up. Stock.

Good looking JK. What year?

Looks like someone took the Sahara wheels off of it.

Finally installed the new GM Performance front brakes
I still gotta change out the brake fluid, but I have a Motive pressure bleeder for that so should be easy peasy

I had those on my 13 and didn’t do any break in on them and they worked great. You should be peachy

BTW, anyone know if I have to do the usual 30/30/30 break in on these ceramic pads and coated rotors?

(30 gradual stops from 30 mph with 30 seconds in between each stop for the brakes to cool)

I don't think I'd do 30, but probably 10, and not to a full stop. Don't want new hot pads stopped on a hot rotor.

yeah I keep thinking about that.
then get some really big tires.

I would love to have the power plant that's in the Tahoe.

but in the end, I want this to be cheap for now.
just something to beat on, and keep the Tahoe nice.

Plus the tahoe is a fat b.
It doesn't do well on some of the trails around here, unless i don't care about the paint that is.

Except for some c-o-o-chie stains on the seats the interior doesn't look in too bad of shape.

This summer I'll try a steam cleaner.
I believe there is a tear on the passenger side.

Those seat covers you have.
Are they for this gen, or for the later seats?

also, if someone needs a carfax report, I bought the 5 pack (again) but ended up only using one. :jester:

I really didn't believe this one would work out because of sketchy out of state title.
Free to anyone that needs it.

ETA: I might have just given them to my service manager at work, but I doubt he will use more than one or two.
(car shopping for his kid)
