Replacing drivers door hinge roller, need spring tool

I'm getting a loud "TING" when opening my door, and it appears the previous owner replaced the roller and pin, and it looks like the roller has worn down.

What is the best tool to compress the spring and a good replacement post and roller?

The door also seems to sag ever so slightly, not bad, but enough to take notice.

Whatever I need to do I'm game for, really don't want to replace the whole hinge as I would need to paint it, hopefully I can replace the worn parts.

All input appreciated.

Looks like a botched repair to me. In my opinion, you're better off just replacing the hinge for $67 if your door is sagging.

I think you will be better off replacing the whole hinge. I’ve never had any luck with replacement pins and rollers.

Does GM paint the hinge and or jamb with the same tricoat as the exterior? Almost looks like white or missing the pearl....I could be wrong.

The threaded part looks bent over a bit and that is worrisome. Likely do need the entire hinge assembly. Is it bolted in or welded or.....paint it first of course and if you have no mechanical background, I have no idea of that or your tool assortment, best to have a shop do it.

Yes. It's the same paint color in the door jambs as on the exterior of the rig. If you replace the hinge, you can prime and paint the new one with rattle cans before you install it.

Just get a can of white Rust-o-leum and go to town.

i would agree and then just rattle can it to match, not like anyone is going to be eyeballing it going down the road
