got to try out the towing ability today...just a light load, about 5200 lbs. And not far, either. My Rambler broke on a drive into town....

Did some plasti-dip on the gold bow tie for the 22” rims. These are actually on my 22’ Silverado but same rims on HC Tahoe/Burb if anyone wants to do this. Was pretty damn easy I must say. Did 6 coats. Wait about 30 min between sprays. Then I let sit overnight before peeling.

Looks great. I’m trying to figure out different ways to make the HC rims look better as I prepare to black out the chrome next week.

Good idea, I may try that after I dip the grill. I’m planning to use hyper dip in piano black for the gloss look.

Turned out nice.

After a little over 3 months finally got it back from the body shop. Unfortunately the body shop let it sit with spilt milkshakes (we were literally pulling out of the parking lot from getting them when we got hit so 5 milkshakes exploded inside) for who knows how long and it stained the door panels and seats and now I’m fighting with the insurance and body shop over who needs to fix. But glad to have it back and road tripped to southern Cali and back this weekend and man is it nice to drive.

Oh and the one piece 2nd and 3rd row Amazon floor liner came in while it was in the shop so I got that installed and while not quite the quality I was hoping for it’s WAY better than the factory version that continually separated rendering it useless with small kids.

Looks clean...how about a custom vinyl or acrylic custom decal for the upper fender area? :)

But then it wouldn’t look so clean. But I am interested in a vinyl kit to go over all the chrome if you’re making any. Been looking at some on eBay but have yet to pull the trigger.

Took it to the dealer in Houston called SeWell Cadillac to have the OEM windshield replaced and the bottom outside trim under the windshield which almost all K2XX trucks get warped. If you anyone goes and check you will see what I am mentioning. I figured it would be the proper time to replace the trim piece while they are at it. I will pick up tomorrow and post to let everyone know how it went. I did make a video and took lots of pictures just in case they mess something up. I also noticed on my previous windshield that there was spots that you could see everywhere when the sun hits it.

I haven't done anything with it yet, but did find out that it got built yesterday, as compared to next week as its TPW was saying. So I am getting excited that it is finally built, and hopefully have it in the next month, or sooner even.

I took possession on Friday. This was after selling my 2007 a few months ago and driving a golf cart to work and back. Nitto Recon Grapplers and 22” wheels being installed on the 23rd with a 2” level.

Katzkin leather installed shortly after that. I’ll post as I make mods. I blacked out the GMC emblems on front and back this weekend.

I couldn’t find an SLT at MSRP so I decided to just have fun with it and make the SLE my own.

The armrest wireless charger that I designed (in Etsy store) was looking a bit boring in all default black...no more a problem.

This past weekend, I drove the family (...and my daughter's boyfriend) to Sea World in San Diego. It was a 300 mile round trip, but it was a fun excursion. Actually, the furthest I've driven the AT4 to date. As expected, I got a lot of looks because of the off-road wheels, but I was enjoying the drive so much that I didn't care people were trying to catch up to me. L.A. was expecting some lite drizzling, but it never happened. And of course I washed my AT4 the day before to make it look pretty on the way to San Diego. But as it turned out, it did sprinkle a little bit on the way which made it dirty... But to be honest, I really don't mind it being dirty for once. I've spent so many hours each week focusing on keeping it spotless since I bought it 6 months ago, that now, I feel that it's okay to let the AT4 be dirty for a week or so.

Took to the dealer to have the headlight issue fixed and an oil change done. Happy they filled the DEF too, makes life simpler.

While waiting to talk with the service manager, noticed the left headlight assembly rubbing paint away from the fender due to there being no gap space. So going back to the dealership in 2 weeks to discuss best option with their body/paint guy
