What menus on the tech2 gets you there? My roof vents blow out hot.
I have these notes... HVAC recalibration is found under the "Body" menus.
HVAC Recalibration – Body > Heating and Air Conditioning > Special Functions > Miscellaneous Test
HVAC Recalibration – Body > Heating and Air Conditioning > Special Functions > Output Control > Miscellaneous Test

Found the PDF with all the different menu pathing here... Figured it might come in handy some day, so I saved to my Google Drive after I discovered this PDF in the interweb.

PDF saved, I don't remember exactly how I got there but I do remember it asking if I had dual zone automatic and I am pretty sure it had a selection called "recalibrate" you hit enter and away it went. *At least that's how I remember it*

I stumbled onto the Recalibrate option (and actually tried it) when I was poking through the various things the tool can do. I was trying to see if it would fix a buzzing noise that happens once in a while. Recalibrate did not do the trick for me. It is believed to be one of the actuators. But it has been a low priority item so far and I choose to ignore it for a little longer... But I do recall the Recalibrate option was not terribly hard to find and execute.

Got the new 315/75r16 Firestone MTs on the truck today. We're going to have just a little clearancing and more work before the truck looks balanced, but she's getting more and more ready to be the long distance off road/camping rig.

I did get a set of five (had one spare matching rim!), So I'll also be building a swing out tire carrier to mount to the factory rear bumper, I've got all the steel to build a roof rack, and I've got everything to build a low profile winch bumper. Coming together. Now I've just got to not blow up the 8.25 front differential before I get time/funds to solid axle swap.

Not exactly today, but over the past week. Last weekend I decided to finally do the driver’s seat cushion, heater, and cover replacement on my ‘04. I bought the cover and pad about a year ago -- typical -- but had forgotten to order the heater. A couple of months ago I thought it would be best to do the heater along with everything else, so I ordered that, too. Kudos to The Seat Shop (https://www.theseatshop.com/) for their quality parts and detailed install videos.

The DuroFoam cushion is all it’s cracked up to be. Nice and firm, and I sit an inch or more higher now and don’t sink into the seat like before. The old cushion was showing its age (but it won’t stop me from offering it – with the OE heater on it -- and the cover in the For Sale forum for free, buyer to pay shipping).

I will say that I couldn’t stretch the cover over the cushion by myself; my son came over and essentially stood on the metal frame (to compress the foam cushion) while I hooked the plastic retainer strips over the metal edges (this is all shown in The Seat Shop’s install video). Everything else is held by super heavy duty Velcro and NO hog rings.

Obviously not a professional job but it’s exactly what I needed to make Red Hoe more comfortable. I may try a little heat to minimize the slight wrinkles after it settles in, but even if it stays the way it is, it will be fine for me.

Ordered three new AC Delco parking brake cables from Rock Auto. Finally, they must have fixed their tax issue since they now can ship to me.

I'm not planning to change the front one yet that goes from the pedal to the intermediate cable, we'll see how the three new ones behind that work out. My pedal doesn't seem to have the automatic adjuster built in -- must be for later years -- so I stuck with the intermediate cable with the threaded end for adjustment.

I plan to pick up a Lisle 40750 parking brake cable remover tool locally but would entertain other tool recommendations for the job.

I broke mine! Installed a new radiator, heater hoses, aluminum y-adapter (Dorman), GM Genuine T connectors at the firewall. On the test drive it blew the trans cooler line back out of the new radiator and I lost all the fluid. Now the transmission won't shift right. I'll start a thread in the Engine/drivetrain area when I get a chance.
Hope you didn’t drive it without trans fluid?

I traded my 06 Sierra Denali for an 09 Pontiac G8 GT. It has 42K and I couldn't pass it up. I'll miss the truck for sure, but I have always wanted a G8.

I will still be on here, because you guys are awesome!!
Nice. I've always wanted one of those. Stock? Gonna do anything to it? Still have the Tahoe?
