I would go Melling then, JB-2079 and JB-7011

May have to source other than Rock Auto, try Summit Racing and Jegs.
As much as I’d want to I saw a lot of bad reviews on parts that wasn’t GM, ac delco etc I’m really iffy on engine parts

I believe that Melling is the OEM manufacturer for GM lifters. I have one here on my desk beside a factory lifter from my 6.2 and they are indistinguishable inside and out.

I'm with you there except when we know who the OE supplier is. In this case, Melling is or was an OE supplier for many parts on these engines, oil pumps, cylinder liners, camshafts, lifters, etc.

I don't think ACDelco actually manufactures anything. It's the name branded onto those products made by others that meet GM's standards, and they're sold as that ACDelco brand. There are three levels of GM standards: Original (formerly "OE"), Gold (formerly "Professional") and Silver (formerly "Advantage"). Only Original/OE are the same as what it left the factory with. The other two are quality and price levels of aftermarket variants. Based on everything else they made for GM/ACDelco, I don't see why Melling wouldn't have supplied them with lifters. Johnson does or did as well. Or maybe it's that Johnson makes the standard lifters and Melling makes the AFM lifters. Either way, I'm pretty sure you're just paying for a name out of those two.
