( just learning here)..... I'd like to see a pic of that 'fence pattern' the lights display.
Adjusting will change where the pattern is pointing? I thought installing bulbs is just 'push & turn' into the socket?
That is what I thought as well, but I have been reading that new headlights must be adjusted. I don't think I have ever had to adjust new headlights before. I will get you a picture when it gets dark.

If the OP is still referring to LED headlights, see post #12 for the adjustment positioning of LED headlights.

Could the pattern be from the light bouncing of the chrome trim? They look nice and bright. I bet your LED's would look good in these as well. Can you post a shot with them against a garage door or wall? There are some good videos on how to adjust the headlights on a 99 on YouTube.

Here are some pictures of the beam patterns. The first two pictures are low beam and the last two pictures are high beam.

Yea, I will try and get a picture of the beam on a wall later today or tomorrow. It’s raining out at the moment. When you say the light could be bouncing off the chrome trim, is that something that can be adjusted? Thank you.

No, I am using Sylvania XtraVision halogen bulbs. Can LEDs be used in OEM GM housings? I didn’t know if they could, so I just got halogen bulbs. Thank you.

Unless they are pointing down I don't think so. Check on YouTube there are a few videos showing the light output. On one that I watched the guy had similar light close to the front. It didn't have the same pattern as yours but it did have some lines.

Do you happen to have the link, or what did you search for? Thank you.

That almost looks like some issue with the lenses maybe? Got a picture of the headlights?

Stock GM would have had “Sylvania” stamped on the face of the lens.

I haven’t checked the lenses, but they were sealed in GM boxes and they are stamped on the back with GM and Made in USA.

Here is a picture of the headlights and boxes they came in.

Any chance the beam could be off due to the actual headlight bulbs? Even though the Sylvania bulbs are name brand, could they have defects that could cause that type of beam patterns?

Drawing a blank on this one as they look like they’re legit GM…the early ones were from Sylvania so I guess they switched suppliers later on?

I’ve been thinking about trying to track down some factory lights - so tired of fooling with the aftermarket ones.

Does changing the adjustment remove the fence pattern? In the photos, they look to be aimed pretty high into the trees.

Yea, I noticed that the beam looked like it was aimed high as well. I’m hoping it is just a matter of adjusting them. I am going to try and adjust them when it stops raining. lol Hopefully, that will fix the issue.

On the videos I seen there was 2 types of adjustments. One was the headlamp ass'y to the body and 2 was the light beam.

From what I have read, headlights can be adjusted up/down and left/right.

@ThreeD

Did you ever get the lights sorted out?
I took it to my friend's yesterday. He is going to put a grille insert in for me and he said he would also check out the headlights and adjust them. I tinkered with them a few weeks back and actually noticed a difference. So, I am optimistic that my friend will be able to adjust them. I will post an update as soon as I get it back. Hopefully, by this weekend. Thank you.
