Wow good to know the armrests are technically available separately. I didn’t know they detached. Interesting opportunity to do some color swapping inside lol. Make my two tone interior a three tone!

Here's a tip....look carefully at the pictures of the ones for sale on ebay. Some of them have broken tabs and it's not disclosed in the listing!

I think the armrest is held onto the panel by a couple of screws from the back side.
There's at least one YouTube video showing a guy making an aluminum tab to replace the plastic one that is broken on his door panel. No, I don't have the link -- I ust saw it months ago and know it is out there.

Interesting. Freaked me out when he cut the wires, so he must be junking the truck itself. Also needs a tripod, he made me dizzy moving the camera all over the place. But it does show us how that switch bezel is screwed and clipped in.

He forgot to mention to remove the screw in the lower plastic pocket. Get to it from under the panel while it's still on the door. If not you'll break that plastic pocket.
IIRC that only holds the pocket to the door panel, but doesn't do anything to hold the door panel on the door.

Ah gotcha. I thought it helped to hold the panel also.

My ebay arm rest/door pulls came in (looed great!), so I took my door panels off. Easy job. The hard part was working on the back side of the panel without stretching the wires out too far. There are 3 wiring sets (blue, black & green) that clip into the bezel. Easy. But there is also a master harness end that clips into the switch plate in the bezel, and I couldn't figure out how in the heck to get it unplugged. So I just left it in and worked around it. Passenger door was a breeze! Driver door...not quite as easy. I found out that the previous owner (or his mechanic) had been in there before. Front screw on the bezel was missing, and the upper screw that holds the door panel on (the one behind the door lock) was not only missing, but the clip that the screw holds to the door was gone. (Found it in the bottom of the door. Glad I did the passenger door first so I knew what to look for!). Got it all sorted and put back together and cleaned up! Both door panels look brand new...and they work great too! Glad I fixed these, its been bugging me for over two years now!

That master plug has a clip that you have to lift up and put it in the opposite direction. As your doing that it'll lift itself out of the plug. Hard to explain correctly, but it's pretty easy. What did you pay for the armrests? Have a link? I'm gonna need another ds again.
