Yeah and he also has less to lose than you do if his car is a piece of crap.

If he’s insured and get into an accident; his insurance may go up a little bit but he’s not on the hook to pay for all of your car damages. And I’m sure he can care less about his car being fixed. Or if he’s not insured and he has no money..than you’re more screwed because no lawyer will go after someone without any insurance or money to their name.

it is even more the reason to stay away from people who like idiots, especially those who drive crap cars.
Why is this conversation going on longer than it really needs to be? It was just one very random occurrence between two adults being spontaneous down an open stretch of road. ...We weren't drag racing off the line down some narrow residential street filled with parked cars, kids playing in the street, or little old ladies crossing the street.

It happened, I won, he lost, and nobody crashed. Let's please move on. Thanks.

@ProfeZZor X agree. Dumb conversation, imo. Glad you like your truck and that it performs the way that it makes you happy. In the end, that's what's important. Thumbs up.

Everyone else... Bug off. Glad you have an opinion how he should drive. Maybe keep it to private chat next time.

Because when little Johnny sticks a paper clip in the electrical socket it's a good idea to explain why he shouldn't.

It’s kinda funny, his description of the guy who tried to cut him off sounds awfully like himself hahaha

“runny-nosed kid living off daddy's trust fund and buying expensive vehicles and other toys to show off, young man. You might want to save the life lesson lectures for cocky people”

Exactly. It's not even the road rage part of it either - which I agree with you. Never look to take business outside the car because yuo rally have no idea what someone is capable of doing.

But with Someone looking to cut you off and you trying to stop it by flooring ahead of them is going to result in an accident more times than not. I see it happen all the time. I live in NY. You have to be somewhat aggressive and cutting people off at times is necessary. But when it's at the situation he described...let them have their day. So what, 1 car got in front of you. you'll likely see him pulled over later on driving because he hit someone else.

The alternative is the moron trying to cut you off decides to crash into you because he didn't think you had it in you to block him.
Some guy did this to my neighbor's GL 450 MB a few months back.Neighbor wouldn't let the driver in and he essentially crunched right over into the 450 as the lane ended, and then crunched the 450 into another vehicle besides it moving at about 40 MPH. 50K damage to the 450 and FL is a no fault state, so they essentially had to all fix their own on their own insurance.
If someone is coming over... might as well let them in. Ain't worth F-ing up vehicles over. Also MB owner has been w/o a vehicle for 8 weeks since parts come from Germany. No parts in sight yet....You may be proving who has a bigger dick, but paying in screwed up vehicle ain't worth it to me....

Not to mention a car that has significant damage repairs will never drive the same as if it was in perfect condition

Can we get back to the "what did you do to your truck today" show? Otherwise we should close the thread.

Unfortunately this forum doesn't seem to be as closely monitored by admins or moderators as other forums.

Here is a run-down of how a driver decided not to let a car merge. Good illustration of how little egos can be dangerous.

So, I'll go..
-- ceramic tint on front windows (to 35% NC legal)
-- weathertech flaps
-- all weather mats (full set)
-- gave her a bubble bath
-- full wax (traditional liquid wax, nothing fancy like ceramic)
-- rain-x all around

And my shoulders are destroyed from all that wax-on wax-off movement.

Oh and I made my first payment.

The point I was raising was that he didn't have nearly the amount of power in his vehicle than I had in the Yukon... And no, I'm never one of those drivers looking to show off and race someone. I'm way, way, WAY past those years. I only use that extra boost of power when I need it.

I just surpassed the 500 mile mark on my odometer yesterday, so that mini race was a perfect opportunity to see what that 6.2 can do, that's all.
I had this exact situation this weekend where a guy tried to pass me on the right using an exit lane in a construction zone on I-64 that ended in construction barrels. I was pulling a 7000 lb. camper and there was a guy right on my rear bumper (he looked like he was 10 feet off my bumper in the rear-view camera), so if I'd slammed on the brakes to let him in, I would more than likely have been rear-ended. And there were 2 cars beside me so I couldn't get over. My SAFEST option in that case was to do nothing (I took my foot off the gas) and let the guy trying to pass me figure out it wasn't going to work, and stop. When I was younger, my ego used to get the better of me with jerks in traffic, but these days, I just let people do their thing while I keep my family safe.

Traded it in on an X5 M Sport. Tahoe was too big for my mother to drive (she's 81), needed something smaller. Trade in was $4k more than I paid for it 18 months ago. Sorry to see it go.

Got my Yukon Denali tinted today. Tinted the fronts with 3M ceramic tint to match the factory tint on the rear, and tinted rear quarter windows and back glass with 15% on top of factory tint to give more privacy and heat rejection. Also got panoramic sunroof tinted with 40% 3M crystalline for optimal heat rejection And to block a little light without blacking it out entirely.

Today I overtook a speedster trying to cut in front of me from the "right turn only" lane besides me. Damn it felt good beating him to the point where he had to stop or rear end a parked car. I really pushed my 6.2 today, and I'm very happy for it. Today was a reminder on why I made the right decision in choosing that 6.2 engine over the 5.3. (no offense to the 5.3 crowd)

No offense but maybe you dont know power. These things are pretty slow, test drove the 6.2 and wow was it pathetic. For normal use and towing and comfort it is superior, well the Tahoe is atleast. It might be a 6.2 but being in this 6000lbs tank does it no justice for your enjoyment. Now take my SS Camaro, that thing alone stock got old, had to get a Maggie, that’s ballz deep fast.

You’re lucky here in Socal peeps are blasting now a days during road rage. Best be strapped just saying.

Little blacking out via a roll of Oracal 8300 Transparent Vinyl I purchased YEARS ago. This is normally the first item I do on any new vehicle.
