Something about a trimmed down front bumper. I just that look haha
Could you get some close-up shots of under the bumper where it meets the front section of the frame?
I can get a couple more pics next time I climb under the truck

Looks great. I’ve been thinking about going back to the BP look on my 2010.
@Bill 1960 did close to that with his SSV.

I like the look, I plan on keeping it as close to the way CBP ran it as I can

I still have my full skids and Baja style front skid under a factory bumper. Still have the suspension pieces I took off too.

It only took me about an hour with a skillsaw plus a little detail work with a hacksaw blade. Of course it helped that whoever put a complete grill/bumper on it before they sold it didn’t reinstall all the missing lower brackets from the original chop job.

I like the looks of those push bars some of you have but I don’t run one because I can’t lose the approach angle.

The brackets under the chin are for flat towing behind the motorhome.

Awesome truck and build thread!

I'm not sure why CBP would chop the bumper and then use a push bar that is so low to the ground but it does look cool

They didn’t, literally have never seen an actual BP Tahoe with a cut bumper and a push bar.

Interesting, I’ve only ever seen them on uncut bumpers. Looks better without it and a cut bumper by far. Mine didn’t appear to ever have a push bar or ranch hand but has a mount on the bottom of the bumper support for what looked like a light bar.

When did you remove the running boards? Looks slick!
Pretty early on. I cleaned up the running boards really good, then applied a bedliner to them. They looked pretty good, like they were shiny and new all the time, but I just didn't like it after all the work. Took them off and never looked back, I think it cleans the whole look up a bunch.

I hear ya, the running boards are not in good shape. I was able to find out that it was with Union City PD its whole life; Far enough away from snow and ocean so no rust. Plan for now is leather seats, console, power folding mirrors, and a stereo.

I was pulling your leg. Looks great.
mine looked as good until I started running off-road. Then pinstripes…

I also built a console.
