I was looking for one, but they’re out of stock.I’ve seen some mention of a $100 awning from NAPA @Tonyrodz . Check YouTube.
Has anyone who does any kind of towing swapped out their foldable lighted OEM mirrors for something better suited for towing a trailer? Either doubles or an extended setup that still works with the mirror switch? I have a set of the molded “clip on” style that work fine, but I’m looking for something different.
the only time I got better mileage was when the Silverado was lowered, I was getting 15-20+ all the time, driving the exact same way. after the lift it halved the mileage, that was all aerodynamicsI get 10-12 mpg in town doing lots of stop and GO! I accelerate hard all the time.the only time I got better mileage was when the Silverado was lowered, I was getting 15-20+ all the time, driving the exact same way. after the lift it halved the mileage, that was all aerodynamics
I can get it down to 7.5/8 average if I try harderI accelerate hard all the time.
That l83 is the aluminum 5.3 right?maybe, I get the same in the silverado which is a 5.3 6l80 (l83), for me to get 11 mph I would have to slow waaaay down
it's just a bad habit
I towed my car on a uhaul car trailer. Not the dolly. Used regular mirrors just fine in my NBS. Have yet to tow with this but I don’t see myself getting different mirrors or anything to do so. I was able to see everything needed with the mirrors the truck came with.Has anyone who does any kind of towing swapped out their foldable lighted OEM mirrors for something better suited for towing a trailer? i'm not sure I never checked into it, it is the direct injected motor l83/l86 that they put in the k2xx's, there supposed to get a pinch better gas mileageThat l83 is the aluminum 5.3 right?
They are out there, my 2010 came with them. Probably something like that because they did use LED for the Morimoto NNBS Silverado ones. The DRL has a separate optic that uses amber LED’s that can be run sequential or constant on/off. I think if they could have done that with the Yukons, they would have. Too bad I have so much $$$ into my retrofits, I’d like to see what these look like but they ARE $1000.I agree but I hope the build quality is good for the rest of it I can deal with the turn signal part, maybe they didn't do it because these dam yukons have some weird wiring for the lights, remember the issue with getting the resistor working correctly?
I think I saw that his website got hacked or something. Maybe shoot him a PM.I looked at how high my Yukon sits, and...
Does anyone know if NorcalSS is still in business? I came into an unexpected windfall this week, and went to order my lowering kit (2-3/4 w/ Autoride), but his website doesn't properly handle payment any longer. I emailed him directly, but no answer. Aside from piecing together a kit myself, is there any other good option for a one-stop solution?
I emailed, called, Dmed him through Instagram & never got a response, that was over the last 2 monthsI looked at how high my Yukon sits, and...

I added the manual folding tow mirrors...added a big corner bubble to the convex mirror. I can see Everything from my rear tires up to the B-pillar essentially. They are out there, my 2010 came with them. Be ready for blindspots especially at 4 way stops
Yep, the Gen V motors are all aluminum, meaning the 5.3s and 6.2s.That l83 is the aluminum 5.3 right?

He hasn't been on here since April. Not a good sign. Sent an IG follow request and a text earlier today. I guess I'll research building my own kit in case he has ghosted us. TYF still lists him as a supporting vendor, so there's hope...I emailed, called, Dmed him through Instagram & never got a response, that was over the last 2 months
