Been searching for tires for the hoe for a bit now. Can’t seem the find something that jumps out and says THESE ARE THEM!!

265/65/18

Looking actually for a winter tire that will see occasional snow. Long Island doesn’t get crazy snow where I need an aggressive AT muddier tire. By the time I go out the roads are plowed and icy and wet and cold.

Any suggestions?

Also picked up a bunch of lumber today to for a storage project. Almost done will need to get more tomorrow.

Got the front rotors swapped and sway bar lubed, boy those front caliper brackets were f-in tight, tighter than I had the rear ones, couldn't find specs for the Baer but everywhere says 85lbs which doesn't seem right so there back to f-in tight lol

The fronts are always torqued higher than the rears so if the rears are kinda f-in tight then the fronts need to be f-in tight so I say you’re GTG!

My a/c started blowing hot hair. I had to go buy freon. I didnt know they had switched out of R-134. Which i guess its more expensive and uses a different hose.

Ok, I just looked this up as well as OEM specs. I was wrong, OEM is supposed to be 129 front for brackets to spindle and 148 for rear brackets to backing plate which is backward to me since the front brakes do most of the work.

The Wilwoods call for to 75 for the brackets, 65 for the nuts (front and rear) that hold the caliper but they’re a different design. The bracket has 2 big ass studs pointing up that the caliper slides down onto and then the 65 lb nuts hold it down. It’s a solid mount that you need to shim in both directions- side to side and up and down so the pads ride perfect on the rotor. There’s no slide pins.

I looked it up on alldatadiy and those guys have it wrong. Here’s both my 08 Silvy and 02 Yukon, both show front of 129 and rear of 148. Well, Silvy only shows the 2500 series rear since the 1500’s had drums. Maybe that was a 2500 series they were working on but that doesn’t make sense, those are 221 front and rear.

The only thing I know has changed is the valve on the can. The puncture style aren’t sold anymore, so the cheap hose with the puncture plunger is obsolete.

next up will be taking care of a tiny exhaust leak I think one of the clamps needs adjusting and I am hearing a little rattle around 2k rpm so
I guess I gotta go bug the guys at the muffler shop.
needed to get the brakes all done I have surgery on Wednesday so probably won't be trying to do much for a couple weeks.

Good luck with your surgery, Wes. Hope it goes smoothly, and that you have a quick recovery.

They make cheap little adapters. I have one and used a new style can on my old hose, with the adapter.
