I also use carpet in my concrete driveway to work on mine. It’s kinda nice. You don’t really need a creeper, it’s easy to slide across.

I could use a little bigger piece, but it's 1000 times better than gravel. I got the back done, except for the sway bar, because it has a broken bolt and someone has tried to drill it but put a hole right next to it instead...
Gonna do the front, then go beg my dad's friend to help me with the sway bar and anything else I f*ck up, lol.

Make sure you lube the bushings with silicone grease, where wrap around the bars.

Took my Ford 500 to advanced auto and had them run my codes, switched in 2 spark plugs and coil things on from my parts car and it runs like a champ again. So I took the xl up there, had to buy fuses so the scan tool would connect and got a P0440, Which is vacuum or loose gas cap I guess. Was...

If those sway bars are Hellwig, you will need a second jack or a second person to get the front sway bar installed. I tried for over an hour to get the sway bar lifted and in position to get the first bolt started, and I could not do it alone. I finally got a second jack, and I bungeed the center of the sway bar to the jack and lifted it into position to get bolted on.

I'm about to do the suspension on my XL, and I have gravel outside of the garage. I am wondering if anyone has tried laying tar or liquid asphalt over the top of gravel, or maybe doing a chip and seal type of thing. I wanna be able to move my jack around easier.

My other thought is a big piece of carpet, which is probably what I will end up doing for now. Maybe a few smaller pieces so I can move them inside if it rains

I use either cardboard or the windshield shades to roll around on to keep gou out of the dirt/rock/mud…They are soft. The windhield shade is very slippery it suprises me how i can slide around under there. I would get a piece of 2x12 to put the jack on so it doesnt sink

I work in a gravel driveway as well. It's a hard pack gravel though so things don't really sink down that much. For the jack and jack stands if I'm worried they might sink I just throw down a piece of plywood under them.

For actuall working - so I'm not dropping tools in the gravel and having to kneel down in the gravel - I bought some of those heavy duty 3ft x 4ft rubber horsemats from Tractor Supply. I just leave them outside and the weather doesn't seem to do anything to them. They're heavy to move around - but are a nice surface to work on when I need to kneel down and stuff like that .

Just like jacking on the beach; a square of plywood for jack and stands.
As far as crawling around, a flattened cardboard appliance box works for me.
