You probably did yourself a favor. If it was that brittle it needed replacing anyway and was about to strand you on the side of the road.

Probably, but not at that time, it was headache and many times to autozone. Getting the tee off was a pain in the ass. Then had to go to the dealership to get the hose. Lost a whole day of getting drunk. Lol

I replaced mine proactively, had them break before, easiest way to go about it is some nice long needle nose pliers and/or wire snips, just start snipping pieces off where the thin part of the clip is then they will just slide off takes about 10-15 minutes. they may last 10 years but I wouldn't wait that long

I've replaced mine with billet aluminum tees on both trucks. Oddly, I didn't have any trouble getting the old tees off with the right tools. I was lucky.

Replaced the auto A/C aspirator fan


Fixed my Big 3 wire upgrade to have it pass through the RVC sensor and added a 4 gauge body sheet metal-to-engine block ground, making it a Big 5 upgrade


Replaced the hood-cowl seal


Fixed the left rear window switch by cleaning the contacts

Set all the tire air pressures to match

Coolest air of the season moved in here overnight so when I headed to work this morning my TPS's were setting off. I'll have to add a few pounds all the way around this weekend. Also installing new front rotors and pads as well Saturday. Sunday I will be patching the roof and mowing grass. There will be some beer drinking involved each evening to celebrate each of my victories as well.

Got state emissions and safety inspection due this month. Once I get the appointment date I'll have to pull the Range device out for a week prior to clear the emissions parameters out to pass. Hopefully she doesn't grenade and throw a lifter during that time.

Had the complete z55 airride front coil over struts including springs and assembly parts replaced. It was needed on the ole hog. Rears we’re done last summer. Tie rods go on tomorrow since they forgot that part today.

Well, she made it to Mesa, AZ flawlessly other than the typical a-hole drivers aside from one little detail. She was unhappy when wide open but I also ran 87 most of the way out here.
However, it threw a "maf out of range code"
Which I did not get last night when I went for a test drive, but was still on e85 even though it was reading as e55.
So between my previous maf tune being on e85 mistake, and the new maf sensor on gas, it was a bit funny.
You can feel it fight itself towards the top end. But it would sort of come and go.
So after I filled up with 91 in az, I pulled out the laptop and logged it for the last hour or hour and a half to the hotel. So now I'm going to sort through that and also see if I can get my wideband set up on HP tuners.

And right after I got up to my room, to ppv's rolled in... Not sure what those officers got called here for.

Mine expired in June, but I cut out and flipped the "6" around to make it a "9", giving me three more months. Now that's expired. I can pass emissions with no problem, but I'd fail inspection because of the tint. My guy I've always used for inspections was busted year before last for ignoring tint, so he was skittish about doing mine last year. I was about to leave, but he insisted he'd do it once the other customers left since I drove 30 mins solely to come to him and always have. I don't wanna put that on him again so I just bought a bootleg inspection sticker this time around.

Abruptly taking the AFM system out of hibernation gives me the heebie jeebies. I say you sell the Range and have your PCM tuned for ~$60 so it'll be permanently off with nothing plugged into the port. Godspeed, young Padawan.

You know the rules! If @Rocket Man was able to snipe a pic of his mail lady, then you have no excuse. Bring a dog if you have to. Maybe remove a valve stem cap and stop in for a replacement.

Around here driving with expired plates is almost the norm. Hell, I see at least a dozen cars every day with expired plates, and not just a couple months expired, but years. It's like a game my wife and I play, who can spot the most expired plate. I'm in the lead with Dec 2018

Why haven’t you renewed yours? Our DMV was so far behind due to Covid that the state passed a temporary pass for tickets until they catch up but I did mine at the smog test station. You can test and then if you pass you can renew right there.

Supposed to be on the passenger side...


I have the radiator trans cooler bypassed.

I made little elbows out of -6 an tube.
Then found i don't have enough hose clamps.

So i opted for a new one piece bypass.

I also broke out the ol -6 an tubing nipple maker from earls.
Something i bought years ago.
Lost two of the little roller ball bearings.

They make the little nipples by rolling the inside of the tube, idea is to give the hose more grab.

Dial calipers to find the size of the bearings, and a 10 pack via ebay to the rescue!

And of course the transmission cooler hose is a tad too large.
Luckily it's not leaking (yet).

I lost one of the cooler line retainer clips when disconnecting from the radiator.
Luckily it turned up when i degreased and rinsed off the lower radiator hose.

I need that little fker to reconnect when "verify" the issue is the radiator.

(Something that would be nice to know should i replace the crank later... lol)


The one thing i cheap out on, bites me in the rear.

I think the first step of a double flaring tool does the same thing
