Cam lobe is noticeably different

Definitely in their time. All the geniuses nowadays are going digital, although a good friend of mine still affirms in the field of electrical engineering, the smartest guys still are in analog. :)

Just a guess, but is that a bracket to temporarily fix a broken exhaust manifold bolt? Puts pressure on the manifold when the bolt can't?

I forgot to check on that bracket.. It cant be anything to serious, that guage of metal is kinda on the weak side. I seem to remember something about the Dipstick tubes taking that.. But I could be wrong.
