Finished reassembling the new dash; that wasn’t really a bad job. While I was in there, I replaced the brake light switch because the cruise control has never engaged.

Now the brake lights don’t work. :favorites68:

Could have something to do with the 5# of upfitter wiring I removed from the dash and under hood.

I’m gradually coming to understand what the “Special” means in SSV.

Just in time for Wheel Wednesday... I got my new 20" Vossen Hybrid Forged HF6-4 wheels and had them wrapped in some 305/50 Nitto NT555RII Drag Radials. Now this baby will hook for sure but I will be installing a driveshaft loop and upgrading to solid 1350 u joints before I try it lol. Looking forward to seeing how this thing launches now and hoping to get a 10.3-10.5 qtr mile time here pretty soon.

More pics to come with my 16" Willwood Brakes installed this weekend.

**For those wondering, yes they rub lol... These tires are freaking huge. I will make them fit though, no way I'm stepping down to a 275 tire. I will trim the fender liner or even remove it and make something custom out of aluminum if I need to.

I've got a vibration issue.

Over about 80mph the truck has a little vibration to it, noticeable in the steering wheel. It's not terrible, but doesn't inspire confidence in driving those speeds.

Wheels have been re-balanced. Tires rotated. Alignment performed (twice). Entire front suspension is new.

Any other ideas? Steering column bushings?

Dropped the tahoe off at the mechanic for inspection and emissions. Asked to have the trans fluid, front and rear diff fluid changed as well. Hopefully this bill isn't too bad....lol.

It’s not gonna be good. You didn’t ask for prices ? The fluid alone is a couple hundred for all those iirc. And you forgot the transfer case! Might as well get it done too...I love to spend others money.:p

Transfer case was done last year I think. I only engaged it 2 times this year, I'm not too worried about that. I did talk to him about the rear diff and said it was $100 so figured the front wouldn't be too much more. Trans I know is gonna be $150-200ish.

No big deal, it needs done either way.
